I should also shoot RAW more. I rarely do just because of the memory usage. Its foolish on my part cause I edit a lot of what I shoot.

I want to shoot RAW, which is a big part of the reason I want a program to work with the files. The nikon software is super slow.

Im on the GIMP programs. Though Im no fancy schmancy photographer/editer. I get all I need done in there. Or even Picasa, lol!! Ill throw a pic in there, darken the shadows up a bit, crop and viola:bowrofl:

Picasa is nice and convenient when you wanna do simple stuff.

Lr is the way to go if you don't want to spend the cash on full Photoshop.

That offer for $99 for Lr was if you also bought Ps or the CS suite. If you're a student it's $75 no matter what.
