Never realized how cool the stock GT-R seats looked, GLWS. Any idea if these mount to the stock rails in the Z?

PersianLegacy 12-23-2014 10:23 AM

yea, does anyone know if these fit in the 370z railing? if yes, i am so all over this. my interior is the light gray so this would look awesome!!

let me know.
cheers

ANMVQ 12-23-2014 10:43 AM

I know these wont fit my G sedan, or they'd be gone already GL man

Contact member Vegitto-kun. He was considering this back in 2011.

Seats are air bag seats like in the 370z along with the passenger detection sensor for the cushion. sliders what would needed to be made or adapted is a slider for the manual seats it would be bracket fitments and some minor work.

R390 12-23-2014 02:39 PM

also the seats are heated as well !@

cooltoy 12-23-2014 02:46 PM

I was just trying to help R3drckt09 and PersianLegacy to find someone who might have tried to do this.

We have had sellers say that certain item will fit the Z, just to find out they don't.

And in no way I am saying that these don't, except no one seen this done before.

No problem, I do appreciate your input. done many seat swaps myself. Being this is a GT-R Nissan Item the connectors are a direct swap. but wont work is the power seat motors since you have manual seats and ditching the power seat motors and sliders will drop like 40lbs of weight each seat + they will look really sharp in 370z. considering what these seats retail for.

Zbrah 12-23-2014 03:01 PM

:iagree: Interested but only if we are absolutely certain that it is a plug and play in my 370z.

PersianLegacy 12-23-2014 03:28 PM

man i wish you were in east cost. i would so grab these.. if it dont fit i would make em fit!!!

But if I have power seats, then it the power seat part will work. Right?

PersianLegacy 12-23-2014 03:36 PM

so having mess around with other cars in the past, the big part is getting power to the motors.

If you have the sports package 370z, you already have harness that brings power to the seats. but the seats on the 370z are 4 way. meaning they tilt back and forth and slide back and forth.

I am not sure how many way the seats for the GTR is. but with some wiring you can get power to the switches and make it fully operational.

PersianLegacy 12-23-2014 03:37 PM

it does require some custom work and wiring but it is deff possible.

PersianLegacy 12-23-2014 03:38 PM

I am more concerned with it mechanically and physically fitting inside the car and bolting it to the stock railing.

I'd rather install a power seat in a car that does not come with it. did this for a 458 Italia I shipped overseas, putting power seats in a car that does not have power seats, bothers me, from adding weight and adding on the system that the car didnt opt for, sure you can change and add things on into any car but how its done is like when you see cars that have after market systems installed and just look awaful.

f/B/U/D set up but I havent seen a 370z with heated seats in thus would almost be the same minus the sliders.

the custom part is the seat slider set up in all I have one person who completely ditched the system and is fabricating his own completely.

fitting, yes but will not bolt up to the stock 370z set up, the floor is completely different from the R35 GT-R the mounting point and floor plan

keep in mind stock gt-r seat weight is 74lbs each 370z seats are wayyyyyyyyyy lighter, but R35 seats are much more comfortable and have factory cut out for race harnesses.

Btw sale pending.

your concern should be seat height, making a seat slider sit in nice and low is really important in a 370z. seen way to many sliders that make the seat and driver sit way to high.

the seat to do is the nismo juke RS seat only issue I see for that seat is the aid bag cover rubbing on the B-pillar.

will be happy to help anyone in the so.cal area who wants to do this.

as for the rails if there is enough people wanting help with this lmk.

So, I recently bought a set of GT-R seats and I have the sport package 370z, I got the seats install and everything. But it was a lot of work, I have to use the stock seat frame to make it work. Due to the nature of the Gt-R seats was design, there is no way you can use the Gt-R frame, it will not fit. So at the end of the day, I have no power. But hey, I got the seat for only $600.

Zoren 370 01-15-2015 01:47 AM

Nice. Did you do the subframe switch yourself or had it done in a shop? How much the cost for the swap?

You win some, you lose some. I'd do the same just to have them seats.
