vq37 for sale PRICE DROP

I'm selling the vq out of my 370 to do an engine swap. The engines still in the car and has 2300ish kms on it, I did the full slow break in of 2000km/1600mi and did an early oil change at 1000kms. The engine comes with everything attached to it except the tranny, including my stillen headers, gtm resonated test pipes and the greddy ti-c. This things in brand new condition and well taken care of. I don't know if its a bit early to sell one of these but maybe someone with a 350z might want it

PRICE 5000USD OBO

Car will be located in socal where the swap will be taking place

Looking for a particular price, or just going to see what "bids" you get in?

Man if only I had money...

:(

To the poster...try contacting companies like Cosworth or Brian Crower. Maybe they will want to buy one for parts development if they don't have one already.

lsx maybe?

the only other swap I can think of is that german racing team that put in a 35 w/ sequential trans

Yeah I'll come up with a price tomorrow or the day after I just mainly wanna see if I can find anyone that's interested cause I don't wanna have it lying around my garage after the swap. Also the engine swap I'm planning on doing is a vh45de bored out with custom internals, I want a unique n/a build

I bought one for $9K a few months back to give you a sense for dealer pricing. I think about 2/3 that would be a reasonable price from a private seller. Won't be easy to unload, but worth a try.

by the way, running this thing n/a, what is your hp/torque target ? starts below 300hp right ?

Alright, I give, help me out Travis, doesnt the vh45de have less HP than ours? Why make the switch to it?

travisjb 10-06-2009 11:46 PM

yeah, i think we just crossed posts... i've heard that can be dangerous !

motor starts <300hp, but guessing the OP will build it out substantially... and there is a pretty mature market for these motors given usage in imsa and other racing series

I was talking to someone with a 5L vh45 in his 300zx, he was having some cam problems and was making 420hp and I forget what the torque was 360ish maybe
