It just makes it easier to bleed. It'll be fine without it, it'll just take longer to burp the system.

my bleeder bung broke too. piece of **** cheap aluminum. i ended up just having it welded as well. since its broken, the way to "bleed" the radiator now is to just run the heater on high for at least 10 minutes after the thermostat opens up, the air should burp into the coolant overflow tank

Yep. Annoying, but not the end of the world.

Didn't get up to the radiator shop before it closed last week, so if you know how to weld yourself today is the last day to score a great deal.
