WTT: My Ark Grip Exhaust

6 Attachment(s)
Hey everyone,

I just put my car on coils with about a 1" drop all around and the Ark Grip hangs a bit too low :nutswinger:

Looking to trade the grip for a DTS or similar style (as in stacked mufflers) for more clearance. FI exhaust probably isn't going to offer much more clearance. Possible cash on top depending on which exhaust you're offering but otherwise looking for straight trade.

I have all tools necessary to do the swap so that shouldn't be a problem. Locals only!

Exhaust is in good condition but I've been scraping the flanges just a little bit sometimes and it's bothering me. Will post pics later tonight.

Thanks for looking!

Edit:

Images up!

Ugh im on the same boat with my BERK and I'm only on Swift springs. I dread the moment I put my car on coils.

I heard that F.I. Gen 2 has pretty good clearance when on coils. You should browse the Exhaust section for related posts.

Thanks for the input. I was at the socal meet last night and I got a chance to take a look at the gen2s. Granted they're advertised not to hang lower than stock but the position on another member's Z seemed to indicate that it would be fairly similar to the ark, albeit slightly improved.

Gen 2 is no longer than stock although it looks like it.

interested in HKS?

dP3NGU1N 03-03-2014 02:36 AM

I'd be interested but can't afford the downtime to ship. I'm hoping to find someone local so we can do a straight swap.

Also is HKS stacked configuration? From what I can tell those tend to offer the best clearance.

If ure worry about scraping the cans, there is an option to take it to a muffler shop and see if they can shorten (cut&reweld) the rear hangers to gain some clearance. May not be much but it's an option to consider.

I will probably try this before lowering mine.

If I was in SoCal I would swap with you. Ever come up to the bay?

FI gen 2 is low. I have it. They say it's no lower than stock but that is a ******* LIE.

i have the ark dts and I'm on coils, dropped like 2.5 inches, not really a problem here, but i have scrapped before

good luck with trade though

The ark DTS and the ark grip are two different types of exhausts. I think if you were on the grips you'd be scraping 24/7 lol
