[SOLD] Fresh Pumpkin/Diff • VLSD • 4.08 gears
[SOLD!]
Complete. Just swap this for yours. Shipping is included. From a G37, although it is interchangeable with the Z series. This unit was just finished and installed this Summer. It has less than 1000 miles on it. ALL new gears, bearings, flange and seals, all installed professionally by RDZ Motorsports in Danbury CT. The housing was from a low-mileage 6MT Infiniti. No whining whatsoever, and has already had one gear fluid change. I absolutely loved how responsive this felt on the street. Do a search on the G37 forum and on this forum to hear the accolades. It has the four-bolt flange which will bolt right up to any 6MT transmission. (I do NOT know the requirements on the 7AT trans, whether it has a 3-bolt flange like the Infinitis. I don't think so?) It will probably work with the 7AT as well, but that's a BIG jump from OEM 3.35:1 ratio to 4:08's. (5AT OEM is 3.69:1, and the 6MT is 3.55:1) Correct me if I'm off. http://www.fototime.com/0BD6E90DDED26A5/orig.jpg http://www.fototime.com/A5BC1464DDF70F5/orig.jpg I have converted my car back to OEM stock to sell, and this is the start of a run of hi-perf parts to sell. Price: [SOLD] $1200 includes shipping to your door (commercial delivery address). No PayPal fees charged. Extra section of driveshaft for 5AT automatic: Add $100 including shipping. I already have a strong box (see behind it), and FedEx Ground stands ready. Want to pick it up from 06851? Save $100. Thanks for looking. Jim |
Did this make a substantial difference in performance (street wise) for you? I know that it lowers fuel economy and also the ability to drive at higher speeds but are those pretty much the extent of the cons for this mod? I haven't done much reading on this mod but from what I have read its a pretty good mod for 6mt?

Thanks for asking. You need to search threads with "4.08" and get outside opinions. I have never seen negative threads after installation. Almost exclusively 6MT guys.
I loved the quickness on the street. Good luck. Jim |
