You know these are under recall, and covered under an extended warranty. I made a bypass out of an old steering lock but opening the unit and depressing both switches.

This fix is only for the 2009 and early 2010 Z.

This was only a fix since Nissan had not recognized there was a problem with the steering lock since then Nissan has posted a TSB addressing this issue.

They will replace the steering lock for free meaning you no longer need to purchase this cable any longer

Unless you want to be safe with the replacement you can disable it with this cable.
