Did u end up getting the top speed? I was thinking of going that combo before i pulled the trigger on FI....... A lot of guys i spoke with said its "really loud"

No man I'm still waiting for a used one. I removed my muffler and I love the sound so I'm going with AAM if I can find one otherwise I'll go custom. Did u receive your FI?

Not yet. There's a 3 month wait lol. Im hoping to get it end of May , early June:eekdance:

just got to a reputable muffler shop and get custom. I got mine for 1/3 of AAM cost. :tup:

Yea I've been to a few places. It will cost me half the AAM price since I want to buy new tips but if I change my mind later it is easier to sell AAM over custom

Resale ability makes total sense. Just be aware that you're going to lose some low-end torque when you get these pipes on.

I had no idea... I don't notice any difference after I removed the muffler, if it's the same I don't mind. I'll get a CBE after a while but I want to give this a try for now

^^^ do you drive with the VDC off?:excited: If you drive the Z with the VDC always on, you'll never notice mild mods, only sound difference. :icon14:

^^^ that's y your not noticing a difference. In my opinion, u should always have that off unless your in bad weather. With the VDC on, your not getting all your power:driving:

Its not that much different. Only 0-100kms u will notice a huge difference, and if you down shift some gears and give her while cruzing:leghump:

I had a custom dual cat back straight pipe built and I loved the sound. Pretty much the same as the AAM short tails.

FYI, if you plan on getting test pipes you will need to get some kind of mufflers because I just put some in and it is almost twice as loud as the straight pipe with the stock cats.

Also Interested in Top Speed axleback if anyone's selling!

No Test pipes for me. at most I will get a HFC, I think shot tails the loudest I can handle. I will eventually get a FI or ARK but AAM for now is a cheap mod for me! :D

Hey Zef, I was also looking for Aam tails but instead my friend took me to "shop" and I had the guy saw off my muffler just above the gasket and weld 2 pipes perfectly like the Aams and welded my tips on for 80$ ... believe me when I tell you, IT SOUNDS FREAKIN AWESOME. I was getting compliments all day today at one of the local car shows

Yea I've been to exhaust shops as well. But I prefer not to touch my oem muffler in case I decide to sell the car or In case I don't like the sound

I understand, we'll that's why I had him cut the pipe above the gasket so in case I didn't like it I could unbolt it... And I've seen full oem exhaust for sale for 20$ so I'm sure it shouldn't be a problem picking up the oem muffler

..I love the sound of mine, it's so aggressive and still has that overhead cam sound
