steering lock assembly

i absoluteley need a new or used steering lock assembly mine went out last night and my car is stuck at the sore about to be towed this morning. i have 55k miles and the steering lock is revB. doesnt matter what revision you have i will buy it as long as it works or has been modified to stay unlocked. if you know of any other website that sells this part besides courtesy parts that would be greatly appreciated. send me a pm. thanks bros.

look in the threads regarding the steering lock. one or 2 people have had luck getting it to unlock eventually once. if you get yours to unlock somehow, keep it unlocked with the car on and pull that fuse.

so i got the car towed back home today i wasnt about to have it towed to the stealership, i planned on fixing it myself. as soon as the tow truck left i figured id mess around with the assembly a lil bit. since it was already broke, i took the back side of my monkey wrench to that pos. and hit it harder just thinking about how i was going to have to pay about $600 bucks to replace it. guess that did the trick the car unlocked and started to because i was pushing the start button very fast. kept the car running and went to pull the fuse BUT IT WAS ALREADY GONE!

anyway i could always hear the steering lock working when i got in and out of the car so to make sure i disabled it, i cut the brown wire as suggested in one of the forums. no more noise of the lock when im getting in and out of the car and it shuts of and starts fine. :ugh2:

the fuse cannot already be gone or it would not have locked and unlocked. you prolly looked at the wrong fuse.

yes i sure did look at the wrong fuse, another member sent me pics of where the fuse actually is and it wasnt were i was looking. still dont even know how to get to it but oh well i snipped the brown wire and it makes no more noise and is now disabled in the open position. i was ticked all weekend just dreading monday and ordering a new one from courtesy parts. today is certainly a good day. but has anyone had the problem again once they had disabled the lock? i dont know why but that thing is sketching me out. like its going to happen again or something lol

if u cut the wire.. its impossible for it to happen pretty much
