The bearing pictured is not a 370z bearing. I picked up a BRZ bearing by accident while taking the picture.

Race_Tech 10-31-2012 10:29 PM

What kit is this? that PP looks stock (self adjusting)? Is it new? Disc looks like segmented Kevlar...like Clutchmasters and others.
Is new stock CSC included? As you stated, there is no TOB.

Thanks
Ron

What is a TOB?

Also is this kit brand new?

djtodd 11-06-2012 08:54 PM

TOB - throw-out bearing

Correct this is the same material from the same manufacturer as Clutchmasters and a couple other larger clutch companies use. It is the best Kevlar material on the market and the only one that I use. It is a steel backed disc and has a high burst rate.

Does this Kevlar require resurfaced FW as well? That what I have read. It also requires carefull break in too.
Also, is NEW CSC supplied with this, since there is no TOB?
I sent you PM.

Race_Tech 11-07-2012 06:30 AM

You should always get your flywheel resurfaced. It allows the clutch disc to put the proper transfer of material onto the surface and prevents premature slip and degradation from contaminants from a previous disc. If you send yours to me I can resurface for you but I doubt you have that downtime.

CSC?

Race_Tech 11-12-2012 10:08 PM

Kit is still available and will come with associated parts. Release bearing and all.

I believe the CSC is the clutch slave cylinder, the OEM version of which is prone to failure.

Race_Tech 11-13-2012 02:58 PM

Thank you for clarifying that.

Yes..but OEM CSCs really had the problem with AFTERMARKET PPs. Those require more bearing load to release. This kit is unique in that it has the STOCK OEM PP, which requires much less bearing load to release. This was actually verified on the 350Z forum (PP of 350z and 370Z, along with discs, are the SAME).

Rep for that info. Obviously, I had limited understanding about the failure of the CSC. Much obliged for the lesson. :tiphat:

Price Dropped to 475.00!!

Race_Tech 12-05-2012 09:59 AM

Accepting offers.....need this damn thing off the shelf

edub370 12-05-2012 10:56 AM

how is this thing for driving on the streets? could someone live with it in a dd or is this more of a track setup?

Race_Tech 12-05-2012 11:32 AM

No this is designed to be a street driven clutch. It is not designed for track use. Its main purpose is to allow someone longevity over OEM and a slight increase in holding capacity while retaining a stock like pedal feel and stock like engagement and disengagement.

Race_Tech 01-03-2013 06:08 PM

Still available...........Shoot me a PM

Glokwork 01-03-2013 08:48 PM

Will it hold 500wtq?

logenl7 01-03-2013 09:00 PM

oem pressure plate specs.... highly doubt it. free bump!
glws!

Race_Tech 01-04-2013 07:14 AM

^ Certainly can not hold 500WTQ. You would need 2800-3000lb clamp and higher friction and higher heat capable materials such as Feramic or Ceramic

Race_Tech 01-20-2013 06:05 PM

350 without CSC
450 with CSC

skillaa14 01-21-2013 06:03 PM

So will this be able to handle the power of a SC kicking out 400-450 whp? I ordered my SC but need to look for a good clutch/flywheel combo

Race_Tech 01-22-2013 06:01 PM

PM Sent

Race_Tech 02-24-2013 09:38 PM

The stock clutch didn't do too bad after 33K miles and a few years of autocrossing. Can this clutch take 60 second courses?

Race_Tech 04-10-2013 08:31 AM

Yes, the above statement was directed towards drag type track driving. Circuit and Autocross at much easier on clutch materials.

Race_Tech 05-01-2013 07:58 PM

OMG Someone take this damned clutch off my hands!!!!

IMWEZL 05-04-2013 04:19 PM
