Not trying to be an a$$, but as a US territory, PR shouldn't be much more expensive to ship USPS than any other distant US state. I got a quote to Guam that was less than $50 to ship a spare tire. It wound up costing just about $37 to ship it to Maryland. FedEx and UPS, of course, were wicked high to ship to a US territory.

Just so that u know, to ship from Houston to amarillo through UPS the cost was almost $250.the size of the box is what usps doesn't like. They damn near laughed me out of the store. To ship to Portland through UPS was even more, fed ex was more.the box is 5ft long and weighs over 90 lbs.

JARblue 10-20-2012 09:07 AM

 I did not realize that box was 5 ft long. Yeah, I guess you have to keep it under certain dimensions as well as an overall number combining all three dimensions to meet the cheaper freight rate at USPS. I wish I could just make all this go away and just pick it up from you :icon17: Alas, no funds right now. Once again, GLWS.
