370z Part Out - Stillen G3, FI LTH/CBE, OS Giken LSD, Cobb AP

Well, the time has come to let her go.

I will be looking at a Lotus Elise on Monday and if everything goes well the Z will go bye-bye :hello:

All prices are OBO and obviously if you buy more than one thing I will try to work with you.

I have the following on the car now (Will be removed tomorrow, 03-18-12)

Miles since installed, for the below items, are probably around 15,000.

- Stillen G3 Intakes ~ Asking $425 shipped OBO Sold

- Fast Intentions 18" Resonated CBE w/ CF Mufflers ~ Asking $900 + Shipping OBO Pending Sale
Original For Sale thread here:

- Cobb AP - Asking 300 shipped OBO Pending Sale
Has nismo tune and a few other maps I believe (can email Cobb for the Cobb Race program which enables you full control over tuning) Currently I'm running the Nismo tune with an 8,000 rpm red line and no speed limiter. Nothing fancy, but it runs well. Had planned to do a dyno tune upon installing the LTH's, which never happened.

Parts in the garage, but never installed on my car:

- Fast Intentions Long Tube Headers w/ Black Thermal Coating ~ $900 + Shipping OBO Sold

I have not installed these on my car, but I bought them used.
Original for sale thread here (same as the cat back for sale thread above):

- OS Giken LSD. ~ Asking $900 + Shipping OBO Sold

Also not installed and bought used, but it's in the box it arrived to me in.

Photos will be provided tomorrow or maybe tonight if I get off of this website and take some...

Thank you for looking.

McNasty 03-18-2012 12:04 AM

How many miles on the intake? In for pix as well. And do you still have the LTHs or no?

TerribleONE 03-18-2012 01:19 AM

I want the LSD.... I need to look into if the base and sport one are the same as far as aftermarket goes..

TerribleONE 03-18-2012 01:21 AM

if it will work on the base Z I'm in..

SPOHN 03-18-2012 07:36 AM

If your anybody and take your car serious guys. I'd be buying that OS Giken like the last of it's kind. GLWS

It's not a drop in for the base model, two SHORT stub axles NON TAPER with snap ring grooves/snap rings is needed. But so worth it.

I've got a non-sport touring model. What all would I need to make this LSD work? I've never messed with a differential before and am not exactly sure how they work. How much more cost would be associated with additional parts and getting it installed? I've recently blown my mod budget, but at this price if there isn't too much more involved I may have to jump on this one.

For base model rough EST.

2 right side stub axles $182 each
2 bearings $60 each
2 seals $ Not sure but cheap
2 liter OSG fluid $90
About 3hrs labor $ 270-330

But due to this reason most buy a drop in for base model. But with the price the OP is asking you will about right at the same maybe a little more. But with a surperior product IMO.

MattP725 03-18-2012 10:03 AM

OK so what is needed, if anything, for install in a touring/sport?

Iceagetlc 03-18-2012 12:01 PM

Pmed about Cobb

pokeyl 03-18-2012 12:24 PM

if it will fit a 2010 nismo I'll take it

CZero 03-18-2012 01:01 PM

Actually, the OS Giken that I have is a direct drop in for the base model.

This is per the original for sale thread here:
http://www.the370z.com/parts-sale-pr...tml#post512351

I may be wrong about it, but the original poster says that the sport model would need a half shaft.

This LSD does come with a lot of extra parts though, I can lay them out and photo them if I need to.

I thought there was only one type which is for viscous only models in which would be sport models. Here's the link. If that was the case I would of bought one. What is your part number?

Quote from Sharif at Forged Performance on my install.
''Just to clarify with respect to the installation issues. We're very familiar with Nissan's habit of using different length and shaped stub axles in the various trims of 350Z. With the 370Z, the base model includes traction control but still an open differential. In the process they also elected to use a revised set of stub axles as well. So with 6 different stub axle choices even OS Giken wasn't entirely sure what ones to use. We ordered one short and one long axle in preparation for the installation. Upon inspection of the OEM parts we discovered that we need two SHORT stub axles NON TAPER with snap ring grooves/snap rings. Instead of sending Chris home and ordering a second short stub axle we machined and modified his existing axle to precisely the same measurements and tolerances of the OEM part which including machining a new snap ring groove. This is a substantial amount of extra time, but we didn't charge the customer of any of this and our objective was to complete the job as promised and get him on the road safely. Under normal circumstances no modifications are needed during install. Mission accomplished.''
