WTB Satellite Factory HU

I'm looking to buy the factory HU that has the satellite radio option. I can even swap the base HU if needed. I will buy the antenna separately. I'm just looking for an HU like this one. http://image.automotive.com/f/2011_n...w500/radio.jpg

do the base have the satellite radio option? i'm not seeing it there.

I didn't think so... then in addition you need the satellite tuner, antenna, and all wiring... much cheaper and easier to get an aftermarket HU w/ satellite.

Well I found an all inclusive kit with all that for under $200. What are the factory HU's going for? Thanks for everyone's input.

If you looking for this one (you said with factory sat radio?), I have one kicking around. Shoot me a pm.

Well you can get a nice double din touchscreen for probably around $300 (no nav) maybe cheaper if it is used... then you need the tuner which is generally $100 and all the install parts which might run another $100 max.

If you go the other route you need not only the $200 kit you found, you also need the bose speakers and amp as well as the headunit. I'd imagine even if it didn't come to more than $500, you'd be bogged down with a lot of work for just adding satellite radio (and a crappier display w/ no DVD playback IMO).

Tons of used HUs around that support satellite radio for cheap. I'd search a bit and go aftermarket.

Oh and one thing I didn't mention was that you would need to fab a wiring harness I believe... the bose unit most likely has a different plug than the base, although I don't know this for sure.

Thanks for your knowlege Matt. Looks like I'll go aftermarket. The only reason I didnt want to was bc I've previously has a screen stolen out of a different vehicle, and where I work is a bad part of town.
