Nismo sway bars
If you own a Nismo Z and are planning to swap out the F and R sways for soemthing beefier, please PM me with price shipped to 33613
Likewise, might be interested in F Nismo strut bar if selling. Thanks!!! :tiphat: |
I have nismo sway bars off my Nismo sitting in my garage. How much are they worth to you?
|
Deal is being struck! Moderators, feel free to close thread :tiphat:
|
Are these sway bars better than the factory (G37S possibly) bars? If so I'll be interested also!
|
Nismos are indeed alleged to be stiffer than the regular Z sways.
Hopefully that is true :D |
there is no difference between the "factory" nismo and sport sway bars.
|
There is a difference. I drove a sport package z and compared to my nismo it def isn't as tight as the nismo.
|
there are dampers front and back and the suspension itself is different. shocks and springs. the sways are the same.......

The front and rear shock tower braces are probably the same, but the sways are supposed to be stiffer... See further here http://www.motortrend.com/roadtests/...w/viewall.html Quote:

there are the yamaha made dampers attached to the front and rear. the front upper cross bar has two 4" extra pieces of square tubing welded on it. and the shocks/springs are different. thats it. there are extra suspension parts available from nismo but they are not on the factory car.
if im wrong then....... sweet! i have stiffer sway bars, but i doubt it. |

I would think that all of the S-tune stuff has a similar performing companion part on the factory Nismo (i.e., exhaust -- although Y instead of H; springs/shocks; etc.). Isn't any of this mentioned in the spec sheet for the Nismo??? EDIT: More evidence that they are indeed different. http://www.the370z.com/nismo-370z/23...ecs-nismo.html |
either way, good luck finding someone who wants their nismo stiffer than it already is. :P the hotchik bars are adjustable, something you might want to look at.
best of luck |
The sway bars are indeed stiffer, they just don't look different which has apparently thrown people off in here.
|
just look up the OEM part numbers for the sway bars on both a sport and nismo.that should end all questions there.
|
|
I may either order new Nismo or ES bushings... haven't decided yet.
I don't mind that it isn't adjustable -- I wouldn't mess with the settings once it was set. Also, in theory, it is matched for the Nismo springs and shocks, which I also have :) Tempted to try and track down the front cross member too, but I think this will do for now. Also in the process of gathering parts to upgrade the brakes :D |

It's like a free gift! :p Now where can I get me a used Nismo front cross member? Someone must have swapped it out for something else.... :excited: |
