R35 GT-R Intake Collector and Engine Cover

$475 shipped in the 48 states

For sale are a couple of used components from an R35 GT-R in excellent condition. Does NOT include screws. Sorry, the items are sealed up in a box (ready to ship) so I do not have additional pictures.

Contents
  • R35 GT-R Intake Collector with Balance Pipe (Retail $650.20 + $269.40)
  • R35 GT-R Engine Cover (Retail $150.68)

Notes
  • This part does NOT bolt onto the 370Z.
  • GTM is still working on the lower manifold adapter that will mate the intake collector with the VQ35/37 engines.
  • According to GTM, retrofitting requires the new lower manifold and custom fuel rails for proper fitment.
  • The engine cover will block the oil cap, so some custom cutting or leaving it off completely will provide access to the oil cap.
  • Performance results is still UNDETERMINED.

I'm gonna be honest... I think it is supposed to go below the strut brace...

GLWS

Bolts straight up to our lower plenum and throttle bodies?

Ron 09-07-2011 05:59 PM

^^ When (if) GTM releases their kit, yes.

That is correct, thank you. I talked to Sam yesterday. It sounds like his project will take him through the end of this year.

Haha... all it did was add weight, but man it would look sick. ;)

If you have one, why not install it, or is this one straight from an R-35, not the Z version Sam's working on??

MattP725 09-07-2011 09:47 PM

Yeah it is a GTR part... he is saying that the adapter to make this fit will be out after this year.

Ahh, cool thanks. GLWS

DIGItonium 09-07-2011 11:59 PM

Haha if I were to be able install it now none of this would be up for sale ;)

With the wait being so long, my priorities are creeping up fast (i.e., house build) so I've been trying to finance and get the turbo stuff out of the way months ago. At least the turbos are in and the car is enjoyable the way it is now so I can shift my focus on priorities.

I'm sad to let it go... :(

OK I have access to a shop to make an adapter, what do I gain if I do this? More power? if it is worth 10HP with a custom tune? anyone have a dyno sheet? It looks cool but I need power!

It's not really a part you can just fab up an adapter for sadly... GTM is working on the project of bringing this to the Z community. Should hopefully have it released by the end of the year.

Digi - Have you posted this on the NAGTROC forum? Might get a better chance of success??

NYBladeZ 09-08-2011 09:15 AM

Whoever picks this up will likely save $ in the long run as the GTM kit will run more $ when it is released.

Synack 09-08-2011 09:33 AM

Besides the cool factor and how awesome it looks, does this increase performance in any way?

As of now it won't even fit but the speculation is that it will increase performance...

As mentioned it doesn't work with our cars yet so there is no way to tell what results we will end up with.

Please adjust your original post. You are going to have all kind of people thinking this works with the 370z as it sits.

DIGItonium 09-08-2011 01:33 PM

Sure thing... forgot that as a long time member people would follow up by now :P

No NAGTROC posting. I can't see why any GT-R owner would need these parts. I'd rather sell it to the VQ35HR/37VHR community. It won't increase the likelihood of selling it, but it's not like I need the money ;)

bump just in case this is still for sale and for a great price

In case anyone is wondering, one of our fellow forum members in Germany has made tremendous progress creating an adapter to fit this on our Z.
