I purchased this kit direct from HKS USA, and im providing a copy of my invoice to prove it.It came off their 370Z demo car. This kit used GT-RS turbos, it includes custom made TWIN HKS intercoolers and all intercooler piping needed. it comes with every nut bolt and bracket for install. just fuel and engine management and your set to go.

This exact kit made 360hp at 5psi, 470 at 10psi and is capable of making 600hp on a built motor. HP TO THE WHEELS

*kit is in mint condition and only has some dyno and testing time on it by HKS

Hmmm 470whp at 10psi... Pics of the kit when it was installed? I'm curious about the intercoolers

gearheinz 08-04-2011 11:32 PM

I'll see if I can get some pictures from HKS..

Ron 08-04-2011 11:40 PM

Thnx! I found a thread that has some good info on the GT-RS turbos and 2 pics of the engine bay. Here: http://www.the370z.com/forced-induct...prototype.html

This is the actual kit off the HKS demo car, the one Ron linked above.

Not knocking but is a "used" kit worth as much or even more than a brand new one? Is this kit special because its HKS?

MattP725 08-05-2011 01:05 PM

Yes, if I understand correctly it is the only way you would ever get an HKS turbo kit on your Z.

what do you mean it cost more than a brand new one? Are you asking why buy this kit when you can get a kit from another company for the same price?

if you are looking for overall HP, meaning your car lags and then at 7k rpm the 600hp kicks in. Then yes by all means purchase a compeditors kit.

but if you want power through out your whole power band, then i think HKS is one of the few companies that can provide this.

and for an HKS kit my price is very fair, because if HKS ever releases the kit for the 370 it will most likely only be a set up kit. Set up kits only include the basics. 350Z GT-RS set up kit retails for $7555

turbos
manifolds
downpipe
and oil return system

you would still have to have someone fabricate all the intercooler piping
make oil return lines
purchase intercooler (HKS ones start at about 1K), filters, etc....

so if you wanted to go full HKS on in the future with your 370Z im guessing you will probably spend about 13K.

so I think my asking price of 7K is fair considering HKS made everything.

Ron 08-05-2011 02:16 PM

Georgheinz can I see a dyno sheet for this kit, please.

gearheinz 08-05-2011 02:18 PM

pm me your email.

Hey like I said, I wasn't knocking on this FS thread. I was simply asking questions. But I am very confused about one of your statements. You're saying that all competitors twin turbos hit boost at 6000rpm? Cmon... I'd consider buying this if you posted a dyno please.
