Test pipes FS!

Hey folks,

these are the infamous "ebay" test pipes typically sold for between $120 and $150 shipped.

SOLD!!!!!!!!!!

http://www.the370z.com/members/jordo...test-pipes.jpg

Fitment is perfect, but no hardware or gaskets included. Extra long defoulers should prevent a CEL, but if you are concerned, pick up some steel wool and jam it in the bung to ensure all will be well.

PM me if you want 'em :D

Jordo! 03-20-2011 08:02 PM

And, yes, they work as well as any other -- I picked up a solid 12-15 whp from these.

Only selling because I switched to resonated TP's. Nothing wrong with them.

Have the before/after dyno?

Is that rust on them?

Nope. Just discoloration from getting heated up. They're perfect. No rust, cracks, or anything else wrong with them.

Only selling because I switched to resonated pipes :tiphat:

Jordo! 03-21-2011 07:12 AM

Cheap, easy power... dyno proven gains :hello:

lazer_Z 03-21-2011 07:14 AM

what is the rest of your set up like? i assume there is rasp involved?

Yep, like any other set of plain test pipes, they rasp a good bit at 2500 RPM.

I switched to resonated TP's because I found it to be a bit annoying, but these are no better or worse than any other non-resonated set.

Seriously -- if anyone is looking to buy non-resonated test pipes, a name brand isn't going give you better power or sound -- test pipes are test pipes.

Anyone looking for excellent bang for the buck -- here ya go :tiphat:

I'll drop the price a bit -- I have no use for 'em. Just taking up space in my apartment...

OKC Z 03-21-2011 08:01 AM

heck of a deal

This is one heck of a deal. I got mine similar for about 127 shipped. And they make a difference.

Yeah, thats what I thought but wanted to double check that with a stock system there would still be that rasp.

This is a great deal for someone who does not mind it in exchange for some whp!

GLWS!!!

Jordo! 03-21-2011 01:09 PM

:tiphat:

Yep -- but any set of non-resonated TP's will rasp...

So... somebody buy my pipes!!!! Cheap! Power!

Jordo! 03-21-2011 10:39 PM

What -- really? I thought these would be gone as soon as I put them up

Best deal in town for a big bump in power.

Don't spend 300 bucks on a name brand and then kick yourself later -- pipes is pipes.

Had these on the car for nearly 15K, no issues, no problems -- just cheap, easy gains :D

Jordo! 03-22-2011 01:02 PM

Bump. Get banged for a buck :icon17:

Unclemeaty 03-22-2011 02:16 PM

Would you trade these for a pair of mufler delete "shorty" pipes?

jnaut 03-22-2011 02:16 PM

WooHoo I <3 horse power!! sry but i have long tubes. This is a good price!

:hello:

Jordo! 03-23-2011 01:52 PM

Still FS -- lot of newbies just bought a Z.

Plant a tree in apology to the earth and then buy my TP's :D

Bang! Buck! What do you not understand? :icon17:

Act now, and I'll throw in a sincere thank you card

Jordo! 03-25-2011 03:47 PM

A few folks have expressed interest -- PM me if you want them!

Dyno proven gains at a fraction of the cost = Charlie Sheen levels of Winning! :icon17:

CZero 03-25-2011 08:28 PM

So what will I need to install these? Just the exhaust gaskets and some hardware?
Are they SS?

Yes, they are SS.

2 gaskets (you can probably reuse OEM!) and some nuts and bolts (actually, when I bought these, it came with the wrong ones, and I had to go to a hardware store anyway!)

The biggest bitch is getting the OEM cats off, but that's going to be a PITA no matter what you bolt down in place of it.

That's it.

I'm lettting these go for cheap because, well, I have no use for 'em -- take em and enjoy! :tiphat:

Hey come to the SFZCC BBQ in Fort Lauderdale this Sunday and bring these with you. I'm sure somebody will buy them real quick. There should be 60-80 Z cars there! Lots of fun to be had too.

Jordo! 03-26-2011 10:54 PM

^^^ Thanks for the invite, but I'm not going to be able to make it.

Actually, if I sell them to a local, and hand deleiver rather than ship, I'd prefer they actually were local :p

So I'm really on the fence just because I'm unsure how much I feel like messing with the CEL like you had to do. Did you ever get it to go away?
