FS: Hankook Ventus V12 Evo (<200mi)

Looking to sell my Hankook Ventus V12 Evos (tires only). They have less than 200mi on them and are in perfect condition (consider them essentially new). I bought them initially thinking I wanted a longer lasting street tire. Now I'll be doing more autoX and track days and would prefer to have RE-11s.

Sizes are:

255/40/ZR19 x 2
285/35/ZR19 x 2

They were $800 new. I'll take $675 + shipping. Not willing to split the set.

those are the same sizes i run on my summer tires. i run them on a 9.5 and a 10.5 and they fit perfectly IMO. nice beefy sporty look.

To be clear, the sale is for four tires without rims. They fit the stock sport Rays very nicely though.

Read above. They're NOT on wheels. The sale is for bare tires with less than 200mi on them.

This is why I'm liking them, I need new tires, but the wheels I want I can't get yet, so this is a good medium...

lol I meant
WAs it on the s/p wheels or nismo wheels??

spearfish25 02-26-2011 07:42 AM

^No problem. They were on the sport 19" Rays. The fit was excellent actually. I found the stock RE050As looked stretched. These are nicely flush with the edge of the rim.

shabarivas 02-26-2011 08:27 PM

how many heat cycles has it been through in that 200 miles?

spearfish25 02-26-2011 09:52 PM

I'm not sure I understand the relevance of the question given these are street tires, not R compounds. Here is a link to street tire break-in from TireRack: Tire Tech Information - Breaking In Your Tires
In short, heat cycling is something that is key for race compound competition tires but essentially heresay voodoo for street tires. And that's a conversation to have in another thread.

If you're asking how the tires were generally driven for those 200 miles, I can tell you it was mostly leisurely highway miles. I had to drive back from TireRack in South Bend, IN to Chicago and then had them on the car a couple days before swapping to my snow tires. No track days, 'canyon' runs (unfortunately no canyons in Chicago), or any shenanigans with them.
