Custom Injen Exhaust

I am reluctantly selling my Injen exhaust which is a one off example with a resonated X pipe, fully polished piping, and the best looking titanium resonated tips I have seen on a Z. The exhaust is in great shape with no dents but there are a few cosmetic scratches as it has been run by 2 fellow members who loved it.

The sound is extremely deep and exotic, ZERO rasp even with HFCs. However, it is best when used with OEM cats to avoid drone as I found it was a bit much when matched with my Berk HFCs. Granted, I am more sensitive that some however there is NO drone with OEM cats. Additionally, the exhaust was engineered to factor in as much ground clearance as possible for those who are lowered and subsequently gives lots of clearance

Below are pictures and two short videos of how the exhaust sounds. With OEM cats, it sounds exactly the same just slightly lower in volume but it still sounds incredible. The exhaust will look exactly as it does in the pictures.

Asking price is $800 picked up, exhaust will be off the car this weekend and located in Newport Beach CA.

Sorry to see the sale... :(

GLWS, why the sale though? Looking for something bigger/badder/better?? :ugh2:

Boost_lee 02-22-2011 12:43 AM

If I was local, I'd probably buy this just for the custom factor alone.

GLWS bud

I am pretty sensitive to drone and with HFCs, it was a bit too much although it is comparable to the amount had with FI exhausts. Just too much for my personal taste, but it sounds amazing and is incredibly refined and exotic with no drone with stock cats.

It is 2.5" diameter all the way back, I felt a jump in power between this and the stock CBE for sure.

christian370z 02-22-2011 10:45 AM

Oh and thanks for all the kind comments guys! If this doesn't sell quickly, I will be having resonators added to the mid pipe this next week which is my spring break and will keep it.

cdoxp800 02-22-2011 10:53 AM

Man thats nice.

Red__Zed 02-22-2011 12:01 PM

How many miles and what is the condition?.......

tazma61 02-22-2011 03:21 PM

Just to clarify, this is not a custom exhaust, but a production exhaust that was originally used for the movie "Born To Race."

The exhaust is still not in production at this point, so in essence it is very unique.

I just wanted to make sure that the buyer didn't get upset later when they saw these in production...

christian370z 02-22-2011 03:24 PM

Thanks guys! Chris; I am considering that at this point, but I want to see if there is interest first lol.

To the best of my knowledge, it has a couple thousand miles but I have had it on my car for less than 100. The metal still looks great which is what leads me to believe it is still fairly low mileage.

Thanks for clarifying, I have been trying to get that back ground information myself! I was told the resonated X pipe would not make it to product once it started to be produced which is where the "custom" came from the previous owner.

Not technically, Jamaica was the first one to have it on his car for the movie, then it would be me for less than 1000 miles, then it would be Servo370Z who had it for a very short time...

Super Red Z 02-23-2011 12:24 AM

Does the stock mounting hooks work? Is it drop in or do I need to weld new hooks?

100% drop in, every hanger hooks up exactly with the OEM locations.

christian370z 02-23-2011 05:43 PM

All PMs responded to, thanks for the interest! At this time, I am holding the exhaust for a couple days as I may be swapping it for an FI exhaust from another member.

370zFORme!! 03-02-2011 02:43 PM

Bump for a cool dude. I met up with Christian with the intention of trading my FI exhaust for his, but we didn't end up working a deal out. But Christian was cool enough to give me a ride in his car and let me hear and compare/contrast the exhaust. I love the look of his exhaust, but since I plan on going FI LTH in the future, I decided to stay with the FI setup. Thanks again Christian!

christian370z 03-02-2011 03:11 PM

You're very welcome PJ, see ya on Friday!

As for the exhaust, I am going to hold onto it for a little while until I get the funds to buy another exhaust so that I can remove the Injen without needing to put the stock exhaust back on and then I will put the Injen back up for sale.

I will update the thread accordingly, thank you to all the people putting in good words and showing interest!

Thorazine_IM 08-29-2012 02:38 AM

do you still have the exhaust?
