FS: 19x9.5, 19x10.5 Volk TE37s (Must go)

Let's give this another go... Last sale attempt, I still had the car and was really struggling with the idea of selling these wheels. This time around is a bit different. I have since sold the 370z, so now these wheels must go.

There are some curbing issues on the wheels (pics below). Re-Pinstriping will make these wheels look almost as good as new. These wheels are good for someone who plans on converting them back to the all black TE37 look. If someone is looking too keep the Time Attack look, you are going to have to repaint the red ring on all wheels. Just being up front. Also, the 3 of the valve stem covers have been stolen... Damn kids.

I purchased them from Sharif at Fogred Motorsports in February 2009 and they were delivered and installed in July 2009. These include the special Time Attack Center Caps. I live up north, so the car and wheels were in the garage from December till March 2010. Very low miles on the tires.

Paid $5,500 for wheels/tires brand new with custom work done.
Looking for BEST OFFER. THESE WHEELS MUST GO

***Will part out as an absolute LAST RESORT.***

PM me with serious inquiries.

-Will send VERY detailed pics of the curbed ones by request. Not looking to hide anything from anyone.

Good Luck with Sale.

tbonesteak 08-17-2010 12:13 PM

how did you curb all 4 wheels? i'd pick them up if the price wasn't so steep. It'll cost a pretty penny to get it back to normal...

phelan 08-17-2010 12:18 PM

as an option, maybe consider a price for wheels / tires, + repair?

:iagree: Price is alittle to high for a damaged set of rims

Trips 08-17-2010 12:39 PM

Please Pm Op for a Price offer?

NO NEGATIVE POSTS ALLOWED!!! This would mean that if the part looks like crap, or their asking price is too high, or things of that nature.
Thank You..

I would agree, but it's against the rules.:ughdance::ughdance::ughdance:

No worries, I didn't take it as negative. I realize they are damaged. Not really an expert in the market of damaged rims. But, OBO (or best offer) is there for a reason.

If anyone is interested. PM me.

I'm not trying to :stirthepot: but I don't see how telling someone that their asking price is a little high can be considered negative, unless it's done rudely. I think it's constructive, and can possibly assist with the sale. :twocents: That being said, GLWS.

There's a big difference between letting someone know their price is off, and coming in flaming them for the price. I know I've always appreciated when I was (correctly) told my price was off. It lets you adjust, rather than wonder why no one is contacting you.

PMed.

You got PM.

How does the tread depth compare to new RE11s? The RR looks pretty darn bald from the picture.

Not sure. Maybe someone more knowledgable about RE11's can chime in. The rears were lower tread than the fronts. These tires have about 5,000 miles on them. They were never tracked or drag raced. So, it's not like they were being lit up all the time.

shabarivas 08-17-2010 07:31 PM

My CE28s in similar offsets/ sizes I got with about 1/4th as much rash and brand new tires for about 2200 - 3 years ago...

Seriously - you are tripping if you think you can get 3k for that set - I understand you paid top dollar for the set new - but the fact is - someone is going to have to spend at-least 7-800 bucks in trying to fix that up. Anyways - good luck w/ the sale - I am sure if your price was fair it would get snatched up asap.

tbonesteak 08-17-2010 11:05 PM

^^i agree. Not offending the op, but the op has to realize that his mistake of curbing all 4 wheels will come with a penalty. He has to understand he's going to take a substantial hit selling these.

As I said before, I know nothing about the damaged rim market. I just threw a number out there and put OBO after it, so people knew they could make offers. Again, if you are interested in these... make an offer. Wether it's 1500, 2000, 2500, whatever... these rims must go.

I got the gist after the first 8 posts that my starting price was probably too high. No need for...

Any idea on what it would cost to fix? I would want them with the pinstripe blacked out.

ClemsonWill 08-19-2010 03:58 PM

I sent you another pm with an offer.

I got a quote from a local place. Given they only saw a picture of the rims, they thought the damage was pretty extensive. To get it done right it's going to cost another $700-900 for repairs from what they said. Then whatever you have to pay for powder coat, new valve stems, new stickers, and mounting and balancing. It's not going to be a cheap repair thats for sure.

If someone else can get a good price let the OP know. Maybe he will change his mind about getting them fixed first.

SAllen0400 08-23-2010 09:56 AM

Bump. Just looking for best offer now. Got a few offers already, but want to give it a couple days. PM if interested.
