COBB AP with AAM canned map

SOLD

M/T
USED this AP for some testing when running with some different mods.
It has the AAM 'canned' map on there which runs well, also included are various 'other' maps that I self tuned for my Z, all of which run very well and def improve over the stock feel and gave back the low end TRQ in modified format, the thing pulls hard to redline and runs smooth, hits fuel targets everytime, apart from that the logging and visual aids in the AP have made it very useful to me.
It is in original box with all cables, discs etc, screen is unmarked as is the whole device.
Off course it will be uninstalled and ready to install.

If you buy today I will ship tom, price is including PP fees and shipping to lower 48 and I would like to get 375 for it.

If you buy today, I will ship tommorow.
Others on here can vouch for my previous sales, I dont sell crap and will send you goods as described and in working decent order.

PM please.
Cheers
Keith

I thought once you plugged a Cobb into a car, it "learns" that car's ECU and cannot be used on another car...am I wrong?

Kastley85891 07-19-2010 09:48 AM

Wrong dude, you install it, use it, if you want to sell it, you uninstall it and it can be reinstalled. It is really simple and does all the install / uninstall for you ;-)

It pulls your stock rom and stores it should you want to revert to stock.

Now if some gimp decides to sell you an AP that has not been 'un' installed you cannot reinstall it.

Like I said, it will be ready for install on your car and will work as expected.

Don't you have to sell the license?

Kastley85891 07-19-2010 10:13 AM

Way to scare people off from buying it ;-0

Lou - you run one dont you?

No license, (well its within the handheld in a manner of speaking) its not like a flash tune that locks your ECU and has to be physically removed by thrid party, end user has full control.
You buy the AP, use it to install, during this time it cannot be installed on a different ECU, hence the 'installed' term, you uninstall it and can use it on another vehicle to install, you can transfer the AP to as many cars as you want as long as it is uninstalled prior.
Its like any other piece of hardware for the Z, just like trading or selling an intake or exhaust.
As long as it is uninstalled by current owner you are good to re install on another Z NP.

I have ran AP's for a good few years along with ECUTEK , UTEC and Open source, the COBB AP is as simple as it gets.

What kind of power can be expected from this with minor bolt ons?

Kastley85891 07-19-2010 10:23 AM

I reckon on about 5-10 at the wheels and about th esame in TRQ, TBH, its about the drivability, my vehicle shunts well from any RPM in any gear, the throttle rework makes it much better on the street, fuel is spot on where I want to be.
My own maps are not super aggressive but smooth and shunty.
The AAM map is also pretty decent.
Its handy to have for logging and instant viewing of engine paremters etc etc.

Why are you selling?

What are mods are the maps taking into consideration? I think I would like it just for the data logging alone and would be interested in trying out your maps to see how they go. Just don't want to blow anything up. :)

Kastley85891 07-19-2010 11:17 AM

Selling as I need to fund a theater room for the kids, also I am planning next stage of mods , as usual.
I have maps for TP's with CBE and also CBE. Your intakes shoudl be easy enough to dial if they throw the fuel to far out.
I have setup some maps with varying fuel ranges/throttle maps etc etc, I can explain more in email etc if you are interested.
As for blowing anything up, it is safe, I actually get paid to tune motors on different platforms, now I am not a God but like to think I have a handle on it, there are a lot of vehicles running my tunes and they are putting down safe and good power ;-) Ranging from a 180 WHP grocery getter to a GT35R powered corn fed track car.
I would be happy to adjust or help you adjust your own set up, NP.

m4a1mustang 07-19-2010 11:21 AM

I just need to make sure I've got a map that's good to go with my Injen intakes and FI CBE. If you can help me out with that I will gladly take this thing off your hands!

PM'd
