FS: Kognition Design Dry Carbon Rear Wing

This is for the 370Z owner who wants the absolute most functional rear wing on the market! Derived from a Williams F1 wing profile, Kognition Design rear wings are second to none on performance! They are used by many top time attack and race teams all over the world!

- 100% dry carbon fiber construction w/aluminum end plates and uprights.
- Built specifically for the 370Z
- Built to fit within the Redline Time Attack Street Class rules
- Fully adjustable in 1 degree incriments
- Easily removed in 10 minutes if you only want it on the car when you're at the track.
- Only one of its kind built specifically for the 370Z.
- 68" wide
- Does not obstruct rear view visibility at all.
- Only reason I am selling is that I am selling the car so its going back to stock.

Sold!
Also entertaining the idea of taking trades + cash for stock spoilers, preferably in Brilliant Silver. :)

This is not the wing from my car but another wing he made. Same design though, but mounts for a Porsche.

Mike 05-12-2010 12:00 AM

damn Mike, wish you would have been selling it a month ago! I do like the removable aspect of it.

StealthZ 05-12-2010 10:31 AM

I have stock silver sport spoiler if interested please pm ne with price abd trade oft if available

M.Bonanni 05-12-2010 11:02 AM

PMs sent.

By removeable I mean that you can un-bolt it from the hatch easily. You will still have a bunch of bolts in your hatch. I usually leave the carbon bases on the hatch and just remove the uprights and wing. I will snap a pic of that, plus some close ups on the mounting.

CrownR426 05-12-2010 11:11 AM

Mike what happened to your 18's?!

I still have them. They're on the car in those photos.

M.Bonanni 05-12-2010 01:24 PM

Alright, here are some close up photos of the mounting stuff and adjustable stuff.

Here's how the base mounts to the hatch. They are mounted in my hatch via rivnuts, which is basically a threaded rivet that the screws bolt into. I should note that you will need to buy new ones as they are not removeable without drilling them out.

This is how I drive around on the street. I choose to leave the bases on the car as I think it looks better than leaving just the rivnut bolts on the car, but you can do either way in about the same amount of time.

http://i129.photobucket.com/albums/p...wingmount2.jpg

Here's the bottom of the uprights that goes in between the carbon base plates. These are the bolts you remove to detach the wing.

http://i129.photobucket.com/albums/p...wingmount3.jpg

Here is a shot of the adjustments for the wing angle. Very precise and fool proof method of adjustment. Each hole is exactly 1 degree of angle. This is the same adjustment method used in ALMS. No need for guess work or wing angle indicators.

And finally, another cool and unique feature on Kognition's wing is adjustable end plates. No matter what angle your wing is at, you can adjust your end plates so they are parallel with the ground. More for looks than anything else really, but a cool little detail feature nonetheless.

M.Bonanni 05-12-2010 01:33 PM

And in case you were questioning the strength of a Kognition wing...

http://i129.photobucket.com/albums/p...rengthtest.jpg

This is Mike from Kognition standing on a wing he made for the JIC Porsche. Same wing element, but the one in the photo is 74" wide. And obviously different uprights.

M.Bonanni 05-14-2010 05:34 PM

If the wing hasn't sold yet, and anyone in the SoCal area wants to see it in person, the car will be at the Redline Time Attack event at Auto Club Speedway in Fontana May 29th & 30th on display in the Berk Technology pit area. I can also take it off and hand it over to you at the event if you wanted to buy it at that time.

M.Bonanni 05-20-2010 01:26 PM

Reminder that my car with this wing on it will be on display in the Berk Technology pit are at the Redline Time Attack event at Auto Club Speedway in Fontana, CA this weekend. Added bonus, Mike from Kognition will also be doing an aerodynamics seminar during the event so you if you are a seriously interested buyer, you can check the wing out in person, sit in on the seminar and learn all about the wing, then hand over the cash and take it home with you!

a_ahmed 05-25-2010 06:15 PM
