If purchased, are you stripping out the TPMS?

tbonesteak 02-21-2010 08:07 PM

Honestly, i didn't think about that when i started the thread. I automatically thought whatever I would be trading for would have the tpms in tact. It turns out though that in quite a few cases the tpms have been taken out. I guess it will be a case by case scenario. I don't want to have to repurchase the tpms and have it installed again which will be a few hundred bux on its own. I am actually kinda clueless on what to do here regarding that. Any suggestions frost? Thanks.

Hmm. Well, in order to not make your purchase complicated, you will probably want to stick with simply doing a swap out with another member who has base rims. You will still have to get the TPMS calibrated though, from what I understand.

i dont believe the stock rims will clear the akebonos....

anyone care to chime in ?

tbonesteak 02-21-2010 09:04 PM

They do. That's how the 370z with the sport pkg is sold in many countries. With the 18s and bbk. =)

I see I see, that's what I get for assuming seeing as the spry pckge gets the rims I figured it was for the brakes, not to mention all the comments about having to sand down other bbks to get the calipers to fit.

Thx for the reply tho

I'm interested...

non sport 18's with tires- only 3,800 on the odometer.

I get a check up alignment every month (I have a three year unlimited alignment plan with NTB...pays off!), NEVER burn out, etc.

Professional here who takes very good, meticulous care of my vehicles.

My wheels have absolutely no damages, scuffs, etc. The tires are in excellent condition as well. Never have hit a curb, pothole, etc.

I would be willing to pay for shipping, obviously. I would swap you mine, pay shipping, plus give you cash. In your mind, what would be a fair amount of cash to pay you in the swap?

VERY interested here.

Thanks,
Brent

Hey Rickey- I'm hoping that my Z will look like yours after this swap goes through. I got a sweet deal on mine but was limited to color selection as it was one of two remaining '09s on the lot. It was either Brilliant Silver or the Monterrey Blue...wasn't feeling the blue. Love how the black tint looks in contrast with the silver.
