Verus Engineering Rear Diffuser

Looking for a Verus Diffuser for the 370z second hand or slightly used. They don't even have them posted on their website anymore and I've kept in close contact with them to see if list of interested parties reached the numbers they needed to do another production run but unfortunately that hasn't happened either :/

milmast 05-13-2020 06:18 PM

I've been wanting one for awhile but have had no luck with them trying to make some again. I feel if we can get a bunch of people interested, we might be able to get a group buy in for them.

I was in contact with their director of sales and marketing in August of 2019 and he gave me some info. Basically we’d need ~20 or some interested parties to put a deposit down before they’d even consider it. New pricing would be $579.95 and at least a 50% deposit would be necessary. I think if we can pull that off we may have a good chance of working with Verus to get some new ones going!

milmast 05-13-2020 10:16 PM

I would be in for that 1000%. I'm not sure how we would go ahead and get another 18 people in on the group buy.

One of the problems with their initial version was that it only fit exhausts that routed similar to stock (Invidia, Motordyne, etc.) but for anything else (Fast Intentions, Ark, anything single exit) the diffuser would need to be cut up to fit. It was brought to their (Verus) attention but they didn't care to make changes that would net them more buyers. A few of us that figured this out the hard way just made the cuts, but after seeing what we went through, some ended up selling theirs and it pretty much killed any potential future buyers.

I hope you can get a group, as I'd love to have their underbody panels. But, I just don't see it happening.

kayman547 05-14-2020 09:05 PM

Yea that does resonate with posts from the past about this diffuser. There’s just nothing quite like it on the market that provides the same functionality! If we can find the right areas to post with the proper amount of interest I’d love to get my hands on one!

Nando_514 06-03-2020 04:46 PM

I’d be interested in this as well. Not sure if anything will still come from this thread, but I’d be down!

Spooler 06-03-2020 11:21 PM

I bought one and gave it away to someone to look at making one that fits. The original design won't cut it. Good luck getting that many people in on a group buy. Doubt it will happen.

Any idea how that's going?
I'd be down for a group buy as well.

Did they end up getting one to work? I'm interested in a diffuser that fits even with larger exhausts 👍

There's someone on Facebook trying to get the production of these started up again. I don't know if Verus tried making any changes or just completely abandoned the product.

They sold the remaining stock and abandoned the Z34 platform completely. I inquired some time ago about getting some of their underbody panels made, if even in a limited run, and they weren't interested in the slightest.

That's too bad. That's the only diffuser I've seen out there that I would actually put on my car. Maybe if they get enough interest in the diffuser they'll do a production run. I saw on their website that the only thing they made for the 350Z/370Z platform are hood vents for the 350Z.

We need to make a bigger stink! I bet we can get them to make some

I sent them a message on Instagram asking if there was enough interest, would they produce a batch of them again. Waiting for their reply.

redondoaveb 01-02-2021 09:34 PM

Verus replied back to me and said that if we could get 20 people together and put down a 50% deposit that they would look into starting production of these again. Between facebook and the forum, we should easily be able to do that.

There’s a company on insta I found a bit ago called fs_performance_engineering that makes a diffuser for the 370z. Looks functional as well... https://www.instagram.com/p/BwvmaGBj...=1nz691sitf0zh

But yes, we should easily be able to get a list of 20 folks who are interested!

They don't show a rear diffuser on their website for a 370z that I could find. Their webstie sucked to try to navigate through.

The Instagram link I posted above should have taken you directly to the post of the 370z with the diffuser. If not this link above should take you directly to the page where you can buy the diffuser!
I’m curious about the functionality of it, they also seem to be really active on Instagram if you wanted to message them to make adjustments, for different exhaust and etc.

Yep, that link works. That one looks like it only would work with the stock or stock style exhaust and they show it on a sport model. I may have to email them and see if they make a nismo model.

Awesome! The only thing I’m curious about is the functionality of this vs the Verus one. I know verus have wind tunnel tested theirs, so curious about this one. Let us know what they say! With how active they are on hopefully they can create one for Nismo model super quick. Good thing is you’re both in CA!

I did contact them. They don't make one for a V1 nismo which is what I need but have a guy local to them that has one. They used his car to design their front splitter for the V1. He's suppose to bring his car in for a diffuser design but they said it looks like it wouldn't work with the Fast Intentions style exhaust. I asked them if they could take that into consideration because most guys have that style exhaust and see if there's a way to design it to fit. I'll see what they say.

That awesome! I’m glad they got back super quick! I have the Greddy Evo GT exhaust and seeing as how they are somewhat similar it would definitely benefit myself and others if they had a version that fit! Huge thanks Pat for doing the leg work!! Keep us posted!

I'll definitely keep everyone updated. I'm looking at their front splitter right now also.

They're gauging interest right now - if they can get 15-20 people to put down a 50% non refundable deposit they'll make another batch.

Retail - $579.95 with free shipping (I'm assuming only within CONUS). 7-9 week turnaround once everyone puts in their deposit.

Shoot an email to their customer support and ask for Clay.

I shot Clay a message today! Hopefully something good comes from this :yum:
