Sport brake rotors should be resurfaced

So I just replaced my rotors all the way around with new brake line and pads and now I just have these rotors in my back yard. I stupidly left out the back rotors and the built up some rust. My roommate said they should be able to be resurfaced. If anyone in the Sacramento or surrounding area wants them ill be willing to let them go for a good price since they have to be resurfaced. Let me know if they are even worth anyone's time. https://uploads.tapatalk-cdn.com/202...f3976fed18.jpg

Forum rules require that you list a price :twocents:

As long as the rust hasn't started eating the rotor surface too bad, they're fine. How long were they left out?

The rust on the fronts looks like it would come off with some light braking. For the rears, I'd just scrub them with something abrasive to remove as much surface rust as possible and then use light braking to remove the remaining rust.

They got left out for a few days maybe 3-5

Then I did the front ones so the fronts weren't left out really

And as for price.. someone meet me for them and I'll shoot them for $40

Make sure you can actually find a shop that will resurface drilled rotors, i haven't been able to find one yet....

Like jar said they probably don't need to be resurfaced. But the rears are blanks in case you need to have them resurfaced

wouldn't it be important to measure the rotor width so the buyer knows how much life is left?

Having the knowledge to quantitatively evaluate a used part and the means to take the measurement probably doesn’t apply to a transaction of this price range. But in theory, I agree 100%.

I wouldn’t really take measurement with a micrometer with all that surface rust on though.

How many miles on the rotors? That should give some idea of remaining life.

They came with the car I didn't have any issues with them I have no idea when they were put on there so your guess is as good as mine. They are pretty meaty so they have some good life left in them.

The rears are probably stock. Think I saw a post of yours that said you have around 77K miles on the car? So the rears likely have that. Fronts were replaced at some point so less miles on them.
