Very motivated to move this kit! I want to go to Z dayz for the first time since I’ve owned my car and this kit is fankly tying up my project to be able to do so. so help me help you help me in a manner of speaking!

i'm confused of your quote on quote response.

that gave no details on a reason unless you are pointing at the kit being money to use for a trip. or if in that statement the kit is money for whatever the new direction he may be going with the car.

but i'm still curious on why the kit came off the car. like if he dropped an AAM kit, that he even fixed the flaws in, and went with an FI kit? then there may be some concerns on my end. does that make more sense?

I’m going for more power. I found the ceiling of this stage 1 kit at 930whp... which will be MORE than plenty for most, but unfortunately 930whp isn’t going to get this platform into the 8s. So Essentially in short and simple this kit is tying up progress on Having my car done for Zdayz.

sounds like a stage 3 FI kit is next then :tiphat:

hell of a deal on this kit though. going to need to do some thinking lol

Sorry I forgot to add also that (I DID NOT) opt for any other “production” turbo kit on the market to replace my AAM kit. My new setup is being constructed from entirely scratch. The AAM kit is great and I have little to no issues against it; it just has a few bottlenecks that have been addressed in my climb up the power ladder that is all.

there's probably only a very small handful of you crazy bastards shooting for over 1000whp lol

it's awesome to watch

i followed this build and it's fantastic. well done and excited to see the next iteration.

Thanks man! I’ll try to be a bit better about updating the build journal at some point. I don’t think anyone is going to be chasing me down the rabbit hole I’m currently digging myself into. SOHO maybe? CJM and dynosty will both have very high hp cars this year, but I’m getting away from the norm on most of these turbo kits. Excited to do something “game changing” with this platform for once.

very nice. glad to hear/see someone pushing the envelope again.

i'm currently at the point i'm either 100% done with the Z or i'm gonna dive in and boost it.

if i flip the coin and decide boost, i may be driving 3 1/2 hours west to see you lol :yum:

Better flip quick my man! I don’t expect this turbo kit to last long I’ve undercut the hell out of it just to move it thinking I must need to cut it a tad bit more:eek:. I must say though, I expected more people to be jumping at this. Being that it’s tax season/off season I guess I assumed that this is when everyone made big mod moves for their cars, but boy was I wrong apparently!

i agree. i didnt expect this to last more than an hour.

however from what i've seen lately the forum population is down a little. regardless at this price it'll move soon.

like i said i'm at the crossroads of being 100% aside from maintenance or its boost time.

my only thought on boost is i'm gonna need another $5k down the road to upgrade the tranny if i turn up the boost. i have the 7 speed in my Z which i love but we all know it's not strong at all when stock lol

Lilith370z 03-05-2018 01:21 PM

just curious do have any dyno sheets on that set up?

Yessir I have several.

First is where we found the AIT bottleneck at 790whp. Next is changing nothing other than adding the 4.5” intercooler. 3rd is a retune with open dumps and .85 exhaust housings bringing my knock sensors down 8000 points of ping and allowing this engine to breathe MUCH better as you can tell if you overlaid the 850 and 900 graphs over one another. I do not, however, have a photo of my 28 psi pull to share with you; sorry.

Yeah this is the unfortunate most frustrating part about the FI game being NA. Knowing you have to commit 5k more than the 6MT guys just to even be in the same ball park for power. Even worse is I’m not hearing good things around Facebook about the level 10 transmissions. So your options at that point are Fast Intentions or RJM whenever they finish theirs up.

:shakes head: damn you AT for being the better NA option lol :stirthepot:

This is sweet! May be a stupid question but.. this was not done on a stock block.. obviously right? I'll be having some fantasies about shipping my car over from California haha!

Just a budget built short lock, and some cams on this engine. Pretty mild as far as build list goes but for the investment it produced really good results I must say! I can always have the setup shipped to you! ;)

Rid3_FaM0uS 03-08-2018 03:37 PM

Bump this kit does not HAVE to be installed by me! Installation was merely offered as a convenience for those who don’t have the means to do so and/or don’t want to pay a shop $4500 to do it. I’m also willing to ship the kit at buyers expense!

Eagles513 03-08-2018 06:39 PM

Man if this was a year from now (grad school bills killing me now) I would scoop this up today. Great deal/kit, free bump. GLWS!

Rid3_FaM0uS 03-10-2018 08:07 PM
