I’m pretty sure this dash and console was listed on the Facebook page for like $700 a few weeks ago. The guy was not happy with the results as he said. I’ll try to find the original post.

I've done two of these now and still in contact with both the buyers who are wanting me to do more parts for them so I must have inspired someone else to try carbon work but it's not easy. I'll have the doors done soon. I'll post the pics

Yes, I can do pretty much any pattern or color. Prices may vary but most of them are around the same.

Any way to do something to allow the airbag to work, maybe a leather insert? My dash just started cracking and the airbag is the big hold up for me.

Yeah, I should be able to do a leather or alcantara insert over the airbag. Might be a few bucks extra in fabrication but it's better than the passenger getting carbon shards in their face. I'm about to start a full honeycomb carbon interior so let me know if you want me to get something started for you as well so I can get it all done at once.

My dash is gummy on my car from hanging out in storage for the last three years, humidity issue probably? Whatever the case is, I'm interested in the dash if it is a carbon fiber infused dash and not an overlay. I see that the thread is a few years old so I'm not even sure if this is a thing you are doing still. Madwi told me about this which is why I am kicking up this thread.

If this is a vacuum bag process and have no desire to do it, I would be happy to chat with you about options doing the work myself. I have all the carbon fiber infusion supplies and have individuals that can work with me to make a dash. I'd prefer not to recreate the wheel if it's already done at a high quality level.

Well, perhaps there is room for a small group buy? I'm in not in any hurry for the dash. I'd like to have something by 2/2021 ideally.

I didn't mean "overlay" like a 3M sticky solution or vinyl wrap. I meant... Because there is a core required, he preps the core, sprays epoxy resin. Then lays C.B. onto the core. Forms it over, trims, and then sprays a couple layers of epoxy resin to smooth it out. Last coat is 4k clear of some sort.

If it was a form and used vacuum technique, he obviously wouldnt be asking for cores.

Maybe. He could have a form and vacuum bag the outer piece; After that, bond the part to the core so it bolts back into place.

OEM sticky dash here, beautiful replacement piece if still available.

I'll make a dash over the winter if this dude doesn't.

I texted him and got a response back. He's in the process of opening up a second carbon shop. He has a core in stock, so he can definitely do it. I will probably just send in mine and have it do the work to it.
