Fast Intension Cat Back Non-resonated W/CF mufflers

I have a pretty much in new condition Fast Intentions non-resonated cat back exhaust for sale. This one has the Carbon Fiber mufflers so it's even lighter and sexy as hell.

The exhaust was on the car for 7k miles and the pictures show the like new condition.

Price new from Fast Intentions = $1520(shipped)

Asking Price = $1100

I will ship to the lower 50 at your cost.

Ok, so I took a couple pictures of the bottom of the mufflers and I noticed very minor scuff on the left muffler and almost imperceptible scuff on the right. Musta happened when I uninstalled, despite my efforts using towels to protect them. DOH!. Here are pics. The CF coating is NOT compromised in any way and the damage will not be visible when installed.

Why are you selling? Just curious because I have this exact exhaust on order.

My order has 18" resonators & stainless mufflers....i would hate to scrape one of those mufflers on these A1-Rated roads here in SC ;)

ColemanLee09 01-23-2016 10:13 PM

Have this exact setup. Buyer will be happy and good price! GLWS.

I am selling because I am selling the car and no one ever is willing to pay for a nice exhaust so separate sale for it.

For those that have this same set up, do you find it loud, how's the overall noise levels?

I find non resonated to be just perfect. I originally had the 12" resonated x-pipe, but it was too quiet for my liking.

What number are you? I also placed an ordered for the same one but unfortunately, I was told that there was a delay getting the Carbon Fiber cans from their supplier.

Do you hear much in terms of drone, or only when you step on it? Was it noticeable going from 12 to non resonated? Thanks for all the feedback, hard to work this stuff out without hearing it first.

Pearl_14 01-26-2016 02:34 PM

All PM's answered, the local guy has no confirmed a purchase so this is still up for grabs.

Regarding, how it sounds. I noticed little to no drone when on the hwy with this set up. The tone was very exotic, my friend with a E92 M3 was always jealous of the sound.

My car was always stock other than a replacement air filter. If you have headers, a test pipe, etc expect more volume.

PM'd

FYI CF cans have a bit of a higher pitch than the steel cans, the last FOREVER and are amazing. They held up to 630+whp with no problem, sounded great, look even better. They are TRUE CF cans, not steel with a CF overlay, glws, best exhaust I have owned yet! They are maybe a few decibels louder as well, but they arent crazy loud.

Is this correct? I read somewhere in here that the cans where actually SS wrapped in CF.

Can anyone else attest to this?

birdman71 01-27-2016 05:13 PM

Fast Intentions

They are 6lbs lighter than SS, so yes they are carbon fiber.

faceglide 01-27-2016 10:10 PM

They are CF with SS endcaps, hence they are much lighter....

callmebatman 01-27-2016 11:51 PM

Would you accept my left nut as payment?

GordoNx3o9 01-28-2016 01:24 PM

I would have jumped on this, but already placed a deposit for a new one. GLWS

cooltoy 01-28-2016 01:27 PM

You can ask FI to give you spot to the another person and have that person send you the deposit money, or have FI refumd your deposit once the other person pays his.

That's how I got mine - took over for another member.

as a few have stated they are CF shells with SS end caps.

this is why the CF mufflers have a different tone than the SS mufflers along with the weight saving from much less metal and CF goodness.

CF cans = more exotic sound
SS can= deeper sound

no mufflers = awesome sound :tiphat: trust me.

future370zzz 01-28-2016 02:05 PM

Anyone want to do a swap? I have 18" stainless steel cans and want to CF mufflers. Willing to pay $400 shipped for them and I'll ship my 18" stainless steel cans out to you.

That would mean $700 for whoever wants a SS setup.

wideglideleon 01-28-2016 05:18 PM

PM'd

Thank you for the suggestion. The seller hasn't responded on my PM, we'll see...

Does ANYONE know how big of a different it is? Between the 18" resonated and the non-resonated?

xxZxx 01-29-2016 05:08 PM

Update to condition, downgrade to almost perfect

Ok, o I have been getting overwhelmed with PMs, thank you all for the interest. My local buyer may not work out, so this is still up from grabs. I have responded to a few of you, doing my best to keep up.

In the spirit of full disclosure...During my interaction with local buyer I snapped a couple pics of the bottom of mufflers and discovered minor scuffing on the right and almost imperceptible scuff on the left muffler. The CF coating is in no way compromised and the imperfection will NOT be visible once installed.

Here is the Left muffler...

and the Right, hard to see in the pic but its dead center...
