My guess is that it is Seibon OEM style hood.

FYI - I was supposed to meet him to see the hood in person yesterday but his wife is in labor so if hes not responding on here that's why.

the hood is oem style carbon fiber and it looks like the clear coat is coming off. The fenders are fiberglass in the unpainted white color.

HE sent me pics of the hood the other day. It definitely has clear coat issues. He said it needs clay bar but from what i saw more like wet sanding and re-clear which is why i wanna see it in person. My concern is that the resin itself may be stained and would need work. For $150 thats my guess. :)

I was referring to Squid267. I WAS first and supposed to meet him last week to see it/buy it but he couldnt because of the baby. Now all of a sudden this squid guy is saying he bought it already. Not sure how that happened since I had first on it but ummm ok.

Seems kinda shady especially since i live 10 minutes from the seller.

Not saying shady on your end. Hes the shady one. No I never backed out I was supposed to meet him Wednesday or Thursday last week then he said hes having a baby and couldnt meet me until next week. My guess is theres big problems with that hood and he doesnt want a local with it to go back to him.

Really shitty move on his part to do that though.

Nah it's not an issue for me. I have a bad feeling about that hood anyway but i hope i'm wrong and it works out for the buyer. Squid let me know how it turns out for you. :tup:

Will do. The clearcoat needs to be redone, but besides that it seems fine. I had VIS CF hood on my lancer and had the same kind of sun damage. There's a shop near that redid the clearcoat and it was fine after that. I plan to do the same in the spring for this hood.

Yeah after seeing the pics he sent me i didnt think it was a matter of clay bar like he said lol. Assuming its just the clear and not the resin thats damaged it needs wet sand and reclear. Probably $500 worth of work.

how was the service from aerojacket. I've been hearing very bad things about them. I am about to order an amuse kit from them and I would like anyone's input.
