2014 Nissan 370z Nismo OEM Cats

Need a set of Nissan 370z OEM Cats for my 2014 Nismo, low miles preferred. North West Jersey
pm me or contact me 908-966-0827

NISMO brand? Or that will FIT a Nismo.

I have 2 sets of Berks, one very low mileage (<3750 miles) and one that's like... 7500-10000 miles old

Need Nismo brand

DEpointfive0 12-28-2015 08:55 PM

Considering I've never seen it and race cars don't really have cats, (the one Nismo made CBE with a cat had it at the tail pipe...) You're pretty much SOL because to my knowledge, they don't exist

Wtf nismo brand hfc ?

scottj23 12-28-2015 09:22 PM

I have a F.I. cat back exhaust with non res high flow cats. I just bought a Stillen supercharger and they said I needed to use the Nismo cats, not the F.I. ones. So I'm not sure if its Nismo cats, or Nissan.

They mean to use your oem cats!

Kzonts 12-29-2015 01:40 AM

Interesting. I didn't know there were specific requirements for cats on a FI setup.

scottj23 12-29-2015 03:14 AM

It's only because I went with a Stillen supercharger. Stillen advises to use the O.E.M. cats, they said other aftermarket cats cannot be used.

Ok, let's clear the air, you can use any brand cat. The recommend OEM because they can take much higher heat than any HFC... That said, you can run cat-less, Stillen doesn't recommend this for a bad reason, they say you'll lose boost; this is a half truth, you'll lose boost pressure, but I doubt you'll lose noticeable power. And why run with extra boost just so you see your gauge read a few PSI higher for no good gain?

That said, running without cats smells like death, if you want to run HFCs you should run a custom setup with your HFCs welded in further down your exhaust. FI welds HFCs into the "y-pipe"

Also to add on u can use the HFC'S or TP's.....best bet is to get a custom tune.......

DEpointfive0 is right....u will lose boost from back pressure but not power.....u can also counter the boost loss by getting their 9lb pulley Instead of switching out ur cats....We have no emissions here so I opted to go with Resonated TP'S from Berk way before I bought my S/C.......this was the best route for me as I figured there's nothing to burn.....Stock Cats and HFC'S will still be prone to failure from the extra EGT's.....this will require u to buy and replace the part later on down the line and can also cause serious problems if ur exhaust gets clogged up from the cats blowing out......Using TP'S takes that problem put of the equation.

Best of luck to u with ur build man....:tiphat:

I think I still have my OEM ones in the garage. I'll check and let you know in a bit

scottj23 12-29-2015 06:42 PM

Yeah, we have emissions inspection here in Jersey. Thank you though for heads up.

Ok, thanks DeliriousClam

We do in CA too, but... LOLLLLLL, we get around them.

Also, your car has the stock cats still right?

scottj23 12-29-2015 07:46 PM

no, I sold them and the Nismo exhaust when I got the F.I. cat back exhaust and non res high flow cats
