Open Diff, Quaife and 4.08
 

Sold the Z, selling the diff with Quaife and 4.08 gears. Only about 1,000 miles since rebuilt. Pumpkin is out of a 2009 manual open. All parts bought from Z1.

This unit is heavy, so if you want it shipped, I'll have to shrink wrap it to a pallet and ship it freight. You'll need a dock to unload it.

I have about $2,400 in parts. Looking to get $1,800 plus Paypal and freight if applies. Prefer to sell within driving difference. This mod will throw codes from the wheel sensors. I had them turned off on a tune.

Pics of the parts were taken before install. Not willing to open the diff and sell the parts individually.

Hey, sorry for off topic. When you had your 2009 MT pumkin and 4.08 gears installed, did you changed your diff (Quafee) to MT either? Or you left AT Diff?

This is a manual open diff so all the parts inside, including the Quaife match. You can buy a Quaife for an automatic, but you can't upgrade the gears. To get the gear upgrade you have to swap the auto pumpkin with a manual pumpkin. They are a direct swap, but only if both are open.

very tempting, iv been looking for a diff since i have base model unsure if I need 4.08 since the car is daily with lots of hwy miles. how high is the rpm when cruising on hwy??

I drove it from Dallas to Austin for a tune at Uprev and got 24 mpg running 75 mph in top gear. I don't recall the exact rpm, but it wasn't high.

Also, someone was asking via pm who built the unit and if I replaced the seals and bearings. It was built by Texas Track Works in Ft Worth and the seals/bearings were all replaced via the rebuild kit from Z1. All the parts are visible in the last picture of my original post. Also, not a typo, the unit has about 1,000 miles since rebuild. All parts in near new condition.
