Its not black, its black cherry.

So...is it originally carbon fiber that is painted black? Or is it Fiberglass painted black? Pls clarify.

My birthday is coming up, maybe I'll spoil myself. GLWS again.

FYI Black Cherry is not black, its like a purple color that kinda changes in the sun. I don't think it would be an excellent match for white, or most colors honestly!

kbc749 and cooltoy, thanks for the clarification! I can wrap it gloss black where it is painted Black Cherry.

That would work and be reasonably cheap.

I am not sure if it can be done (my guess that yes it can be), but maybe you can get the pain stripped back down to CF and then have it all cleared. But the cost maybe higher then just getting a new CF wing.

This was my old spoiler! Haha!

Yes it is black cherry. It was painted a certain way so, i believe it would make stripping the paint easier.

It was all clear coated, then painted black cherry on top , the back edge and bottom were left clear with cf exposed. The trailing edge has a bit of a "fade to carbon".

The wing looks great, from the top of the car, you dont get that weird "refractive" carbon fiber look in the sun, which annoys the crap out of me. Yet from the back of the car, the carbon fiber just shows enough to be apparent.
