i'm guessing you dont have the silent disc option?

BlkNismo 06-23-2015 05:57 PM

This is 24 lbs steel flywheel so noise should not be of concern compared to lighter weight aluminum flywheels.

I don't supposed you'd sell just the clutch kit? I want a lightweight flywheel, and I already have Z1's slave cylinder. Feel free to PM me a price for just the clutch shipped to 78731 if interested :tiphat:

Did you change your mind? Or just never install. I maybe interested as I need to upgrade my csc and figure I might as well update the flywheel and clutch as well. I haven't researched which to get though. Will this one be loud/quiet? What hp will it handle?

I had plans to make a daily driver forced induction, but life turned different direction and have now sold the car.

According to vender where purchased, this combo will be quietest available of all lightweight flywheels, this being steel and 24lbs. Clutch is designed to hold power of twin turbo at low to moderate boost with slightly stiffer pedal feel. Perfect for daily driving.

Chiming in here... hope this helps potential buyers.

I have the same setup (45k miles), and it is pretty quiet. At very low RPM you can hear some rattle, but it goes away past 1.5-2k RPM. If you've heard what throw out bearing noise is like, it's pretty similar. The noise at idle gets drowned out if you have an aftermarket exhaust.

It is a little bit heavier than stock, but it's a very natural feeling which makes it easy to modulate the clutch. It is easy to daily drive and scoot through traffic. The only minor complaint would be some judder, but I'm told it is normal with aftermarket clutches in general. Just make sure to break it in very well.

Here's a video of what it sounds like from outside. Inside it's not that noticeable. Skip to 1:51 after the idle video.
