Do you know what torque these are rated for?

It specifies 1200kgf clamping load. It should be good for several hundred horsepower... but an exact would be tough to say. Some manufacturers put "torque" or "horsepower" ratings but may hold less or more.

Most likely about 20-40% more power is a good ballpark for torque/horsepower holding.

I'll ask and see if they have an idea... might take a while for a response tho.

For example, the Nismo single plate Coppermix clutch is rated to hold 391 lb-ft of torque. Torque is what will break a clutch, not power.

Since this is a Nismo product, will this maintain the factory warranty on my tranny?

Ok... here is a response from Nissan Motorsports today (5/12/09)... I personally would emphasize the word, 'about', it depends on the driving conditions, driver, etc...

That's plenty of torque, this might work even for a TT kit on the VQ37VHR!

Have you guys installed (are you a shop or just retailer?) or know of customers that have already installed this in their 370Z? Any references/contacts so I could ask some questions?

Minicobra1 - The Nismo Clutch kit & Flywheel are from the Nissan Motorsports Competition parts division... they are not usually covered by warranty. I would recommend contacting your dealer to check. They should not void your warranty for a more efficient and heavy duty clutch & flywheel setup if they install it or talk to you before its installed. You could tell them that the factory clutch just was not good enough for you thru highway traffic, lol.

miguez - No problemo. I like to help car enthusiasts & customers with getting as much information as possible to make educated purchasing decisions.

We have a brick & mortar store, installation area, and online store. We haven't had a 370z do the clutch kit yet, but we just did an JWT clutch kit & flywheel on 08 Nismo 350z. I think the Nismo clutck kit will be worth the cost difference.

Cool Dan, thanks for the info. I always worry a bit when I see parts that are supposedly interchangeable between the 370Z and the G37, as there are similarities, but also differences between the two cars.

Hey Dan...does the Nismo clutch have an unsprung hub? From the pictures it seems like it does. I am looking for a aggressive clutch and i don't want a sprung clutch.

Will the Nismo clutch be more difficult to engage??

I will check into this and post more details when I get them from Nissan. With these Nismo parts it takes several months to get all the details.

It shouldn't be a horrible pedal feel or engagement. I'll let you know the %'s when I get them.

P.S. The Nismo parts department is always busy busy busy. They hardly have time to check on product details. They make a part, make a part number, make a short description, and then sell it.
