"Fast" is a matter of perspective. If you drive exotics or race cars, the 370z is probably pretty slow to you. If your frame of reference is cars in the 370z's price range or less, however, it's probably quick.

So of course someone who has driven a 370z is going to judge the BRZ against those numbers -- but that doesn't necessarily make their frame of reference more valid.

Also, what is "fast"? In a straight line? Around a corner? On an autocross course?

For me, I'm not super optimistic about the brz, but at the same time I'm not gonna judge it until I get my grimy hands on one.
