Cadillac ATS-V coupe

Cadillac ATS-V Coupe: This Is It

GM claims it will be an M4 killer... If they put as much effort into it as they put into the camaro Z/28 and corvette Z06? It's very possible?

The looks from the angles taken in photos, the ATS-V looks common. It doesn't really spark emotion just looking @ it. Yet it's not unattractive.... It looks neutral in my opinion.

blackcherry20 10-28-2014 07:39 PM

Yeah. Kind of uninspiring visually.

Gadgetech 10-28-2014 07:47 PM

Will have to see it in person know if it'll scare an M3 but based on the results gained from a CTS-V I wouldn't put it past GM to be able to perform well.

Some additional shots:

Additional ATS-V photos

I would buy a Caddy... The CTS-V is a sexy sexy monster. Hopefully its little brother will be a monster as well.

So... what's the over/under for this bad boy getting recalled within the first six months of release?

TerribleONE 10-29-2014 12:55 PM

Not bad.. should be a fun car, GM has been pumping out some decent stuff lately.

Dreadnaught 10-31-2014 12:35 AM

The car looks okay in my opinion.

DavidZ370 10-31-2014 12:56 AM

new American cars are ********

kenchan 10-31-2014 11:31 AM

i like the shape of the cts. ats is fine, but looks weird like how those 135's looked odd vs 335's. etc.

jwick 10-31-2014 12:33 PM

Think I'd rather have it in a sedan version.

UNKNOWN_370 10-31-2014 01:45 PM

I'd rather have a C400.

2016 Cadillac ATS-V gets 450+ HP, Six-Speed Manual Gearbox - Road & Track

This thing is going to be brolic. These pic angles look better than previous photos... Can't wait to see this battle the M4.

Do you watch the video's? Braking is consistent and stops at 103ft. Thats Z short. The BMW M3 does it in 108ft

Haboob 05-15-2015 08:22 AM

I wish this thing wasn't going to be $60k.

Guess I need to work hard at finding that job that'll allow me to afford this. Maybe they'll drop to $40k for used with under 20k miles.

They will once they're hit with 35 recalls for the first model year.

I mean, with how the trend is working, we're likely to get at least an airbag recall, if not an ignition switch or parking brake failure.

Maybe $48k for a bare bones Caddy???? I don't see 40k in the first year.

:icon17: I don't either, just optimistic thinking.

Though, I wish the CTS-V Wagons would come down in price, would love to have one of those. Local dealer has two right now for around $50k with 25k or so miles on each.

In terms of looks, the ATS is very vanilla. Somehow GM thought the CTS design could keep going but in reality, having been mostly unchanged since 2005... The ATS should have had a completely new design, or needed some seriously aggressive character lines on the side panels.

But the performance capability is undeniable...

I agree...but I need both looks and performance.

Haboob 05-17-2015 06:05 PM

I kind of like the ATS design (as a coupe). Best looking American cars under $80,000 are the CTS-V Sedan and ATS-V coupe.

Everything else is shite.

I was excited to see that review, and then I fell asleep listening to that guy talk about 1:32 in.

"Hey guys, I'm driving a ... car. It's a ... Cadillac. It has a ... turbo. It even has... another turbo."
