Wow -- congrats!

My only question: If that is you in the photo, why aren't you smiling???

It must be austere reverence -- well, I am smiling for you. Enjoy! :tiphat:

Congrats on a bucket list purchase and ceremony.....I don't know where you mustered up the poise to give an interview without just screaming in excitement. Well done!

:tiphat: Matt, congrats. I don't know how you set it up, I kinda assume you hint and they call you since they know you're a loyal buyer now AND that you're a GTR forum moderator?

hey im right there with you I have no clue how I set it up either lol... but I mean its a little deeper than that. Ive been doing nothing but Nissan Z and GTR stuff in the community for a good 10 years now. and Co-Founding the officially recognized OC for the GTR here in the US was a big deal we all worked hard on and it allowed me to really network. So all of that combined with just my crazy passion for the brand and some amazing people within Nissan who really wanted to give back and do this for me.

speaking of that.. if the garage and the delivery event wasnt enough. I got one last surprise tonight. Nissan had the assembly of my #1 car documented

That's really awesome of them to do!

Tell us how the car feels compared to the last one! Also, do you mod them?

I am pretty sure he did some stuff to his previous GT-Rs. I would also be interested in a comparison.

on my 09 I just did midpipe and exhaust on my 12 just midpipe

this car because of the history of it and the collectors status Im not touching it (well other than putting in the OEM JDM clear corners lol)

comparison wise its a bit early as i only have 300 miles on it but the ride is much more stiff.. the steering is lighter and when you change lanes or take an off ramp the nose turn in feels more precise and like a direct movement

power has a different personality too. the larger turbos move the power up in the rev range and give it a different curve so the acceleration is more like a swelling feeling than the jolting burst of the other ones..

thats about all I got for now.. I got a autocross in a couple weeks so will know more then

very focused and uncompromising..its a stiff ride and just feels much more purpose built than the regular car.. it doesnt give off the vibe of a daily driver thats for sure

MC 11-12-2014 02:15 PM

just hit 500 miles
