My new daily driver...
I had a 370z Nismo for almost 2 years. Loved the car, first of its kind I've ever owned. Had a good bit of mods done to it and it was pretty fun to drive. Had a few D-bags key the **** out of it and I mean REALLY key it. Every panel except for the roof was keyed bad enough the whole car needed repainted.
As much as I loved the Z, I have a HORRIBLE track record with getting anything like this repaired and I knew it was going to turn out terrible no matter how much I paid. I was also kind of ready for something with a little more power. Anyway, I traded it in on a 2014 Camaro ZL1 and let me tell you... This thing is a BEAST. As soon as I hit 1500 miles I threw an intake and an overdrive pulley to spin the blower faster on it and its putting to the wheels damn close to 600rwhp. Had a mini photoshoot with it the other day in a nice park and thought the pictures turned out pretty well so I figured I'd share them on here (since you guys have been buying all my parts taken off my Z) :tiphat: http://i13.photobucket.com/albums/a2...ps77bb28a5.png http://i13.photobucket.com/albums/a2...ps68688b7d.png http://i13.photobucket.com/albums/a2...ps4e4e6e15.png http://i13.photobucket.com/albums/a2...ps9d333282.png http://i13.photobucket.com/albums/a2...ps195f7bfd.png http://i13.photobucket.com/albums/a2...psda425e59.png http://i13.photobucket.com/albums/a2...ps40734731.png |

nice ride... but it would be better if chevy deleted the back seat to reduce weight... a normal-sized person can't sit back there anyway... same with the mustang... i wanted a 2-seater... so, it was between the z and the vette... z won due to being much more affordable :D

I'm not gonna hate. The ZL1 is a beast!
|
With a diet it would be a fun car.
|
I love the car just not the color. I'm a soulless ginger so having red hair I think has something to do with that but really nice car man! I don't hate on any car as long as its not a moose tang.
|
Nice ride!
|
Love it!
|
Not going to hate but the post should be in a Chevy Camaro site. Camaro has a bunch of power but the car is only good on straights, put that thing on a track and it'll be tipping over like a semi trailer truck going through a storm.

With less power and not to bulky the Nissan GT-R blows by it on a track and even in a quarter mile. Even a twin turbo charged Nissan 370Z can probably out run it on a track. But at the end of the day dropping 100k on a GTR for a super sports car is a bit to much for a bunch of people. Don't get me wrong the Camaro is a great pure Muscle Car with power.

Even the GT-R priced at 100k its still relatively "cheap" compared to other super sports car, I think the only vehicles that can outrun a GT-R is a Buggati Vyron, Lambo Aventador and a Mclaren. Which these cars cost way over $200k.

Agreed. |
Nice but I would have waited till I had a few more $ and when I could get c7 Vette, but that's me
|
Is this faster than the hellcat? I can't imagine all th at power, I'd end up in jail or dead. I think the Z will keep me from getting locked up!

Horsepower wise no. The hellcat has more. Almost bought a c7 before buying this car, but the c7 is a TIGHT fit if you are over 5'10. |
Looks really nice! Congrats on your purchase. I know it's a bit more, but did you consider holding out for the Z/28, that is a track beast in stock form.

Yeah I wanted something more daily drivable. |
Nice ride...you got what you wanted and that's all that matters...personally, I was thinking about doing the same with my Z but looking for a M3 instead...I see too many Camaro's on the road as is...

Camaros yes. But not ZL1 camaros. |

BUT on the road they all look alike. |

One listen to a ZL1 and it's obviously not an SS.

They don't look alike. My gf laughs at dudes with V6 Camaros now and she isn't even into cars.

And that isn't even the V6! That is the V8 SS! The V6 looks even more "base model" like. |
Yeah the only thing she knows about Camaros are from Hawaii 5-0 and she saw a ZL1 rip down the street and into a gas station once. Her first response was: " You want a car loud like that?" And the second was: "Why is that one more meaty than the others?" I just laughed. I guess she meant more aggressive looking.

2.The ZL1 is TRACK PROVEN and broke some pretty good track records during testing before it's release. Do your research. Anyway... Congratulations on your new ride bro |

I was almost beginning to lose faith in humanity. Thank you sir for restoring some of my faith! :) |

If the GTR was a manual and RWD, there would be no advantage.. in other words there's a reason for the premium. It's a bias statement based on the fact these cars are not price or technologically competitive. The GTR is an Amazing machine, but the camaro is built on a totally different driving philosophy. Tech as opposed to muscle. |
Congrats on the new ride, it looks awesome.:driving: I'm sure it pulls like crazy. I sold my 370Z and bought a new C7.

I just came from a Camaro. It was a little hard to give up considering it was in the gorgeous aqua metallic blue color they only made a little over 1,000 of. Super heavy, thing was a tank, 4 years old (2010). I was his only owner with 50k miles and I had to take it to get the dealership to get the timing chain replaced but kind of expected to have those first model flaws. All in all it was a good car but being a small 5 foot nothing woman, I looked like a little girl driving my daddies car. Congrats on your purchase!
