A fun way to void the warranty on that 2015 Mustang...

Neat app....

Here's Your First Officially Sanctioned 2015 Ford Mustang Burnout Video

But use it and you are voided......

Just read the same article somewhere else on the net.. Seems like a good business move for Ford.:gtfo2:

Holy Burnout Batman!! The fact it's an actual feature....That is freakin awesome.

I can certainly imagine going through tires...at least one set anyway very quickly.

Well Done Ford.

RoshDawg 04-21-2014 08:58 PM

That's awesome! Would it really void warranty? Couldn't imagine why it would.

Solomatrix 04-21-2014 09:00 PM

why would you do that? seems like it would just wear out the tires for no reason and it doesn't look like it makes the car go any faster

Like they say in the video..... in case the driver wants to take the car to the track.

If you're running drag radials it's common procedure to heat them up. This is how you do it.

Obviously, if you're at the track then your insurance company won't pay for your abuse to the car either.

Not necessarily true. I looked into insurance policies specifically for track days since the Z is my DD. The coverage varies depending on the skill level you run and how much $$$ you want to spend.

How did Nissan treat the people who used launch control too often on the first run of GTRs? :stirthepot:

Chuck33079 04-22-2014 07:48 AM

And that was an $80k car, not a $30k Mustang.

Haboob 04-22-2014 09:03 AM

:icon17: @ people thinking that using this feature will void the warranty.

Haboob 04-22-2014 09:04 AM

And GTR launch control is awesome. Doesn't void the warranty there either.
