And so it begins....

the drama which unfolds of that which we would all call in the DFW.....Road Construction. Yep it's been ongoing for some time now and I have known that someday, somehow there would be a chance i may end up like the others....Yep you guessed it, stuck in a situation with no where to go and only to have a giant fullsize pickup slam right into the rear of my other car. Thank god everyone involved was alright but yeah the Lexus will be on its way to the shop on monday or so. Ughghghgh... Pics to come. :shakes head:

:shakes head::shakes head::shakes head::mad::mad:

Yeah if you look in my galleries you will see we have a 11' 370z MB, 6MT which is our play toy on the weekends, and our daily drivers is our other pride and joy - 2009 IS 250 Sport Package SFP.

Sorry to hear Osirus, but at least you're alright

Drove through Dallas heading to Oklahoma yesterday up 35E and saw three wrecks. One roll over and two others in guard rails. Construction Im sure was part of it. Glad you are ok and I would hate to be you driving up there in that kind of traffic on a daily basis.

Yeah I, am glad that my gf and I and my kids were safe and sound. No injuries. Trust me this area is crap for driving cause of this shitty urban planning teams which coordinate the construction. Hey dallas urban development teams.......get a clue. Take a hint from a state that knows a thing about effective road construction. I should know I am from there originally. Call up the state of Michigan. They KNOW how to do construction for roads. Smh. On to the pics.

Last image didn't upload correctly but it shows the passenger side with the entire bumper buckled along w/ the 1/4 panel all shoved in. Trunk is bent as is the receiver for the trunk latch. Ughghghghg.

That sucks. You can replace cars and parts. People not so much. Glad you're well

osirus 03-31-2014 10:39 AM

Yeah I'm glad both my kids and my both of us (gf and i) are safe and ok. We are both going to the clinic today to make sure nothing happened with the whiplash type event. Thanks for everyones' kind words and thoughts. :)

Quick Update for all those who may have been interested:

$4800 Estimate in for the entire damages. Items to be replaced - Bumper, Rear 1/4 Panel Driver Side, Rear 1/4 Panel Pass Side, Skirt Rear Diffuser, Internal Trunk Plastics (all), Bonnet Door and Trim, Emblems, Rear Drivers Tail Light, New Internal Bumper Foam Safety Barrier, Body Enforcement Panel LDS(Lower Driver Side), and some other misc parts, Full Paint for Rear, New Front Splitter Replaced and painted, New Door handle cover and Driver side 1/4 Panel Dent removal

Now they have had my car since the 31st, and I won't get it back till 21st of April as I see right now. Not bad IMO. Time to wait and see.
