probably because its around a 20k+ difference. I'd take the C7 over a Z too if it was within the budget.

I sold my fully built/nitrous C6 Z06. The car never broke down on me. Excellent sports car. You have nothing to worry about. The aftermarket parts scene is awesome for corvettes. Lot's of reliable and affordable parts that deliver serious power. Your in good hands.

I have a good vibe I'm going to like the C7. If it's what I'm hoping for I'll keep it for many years and do some mods post warranty.

cool. i couldn't tell from the avatar.

why no sports package? that's like a requirement for a Z enthusiast. (another generalization)

Congrats on the C7. May be joining you in a few years as I am officially in the Geezer crowd :tiphat:

From one Vette convert to another, Congrats. There are things I miss about the Z, but I love my Vette. Enjoy!

Congrats on the new C7! One of those is on my short list for future cars.

Congrats on the vette.

I have always been a vette guy and can afford either. For a DD I think a Z that is set up right has a touch more 'elegance' than the vette. The vette is a great car the morph's between a dependable, easy on fuel, civilized car to a race car with a push of the gas peddle.

Best of luck.

Sterling

I agree with this quite a bit. The Z would probably be a better DD. It's a bit higher off the ground, doesn't scrape as much. The suspension is a bit softer. Ingress/Egress is easier.

And the Vette is exactly how you describe it, imo.

Excellent choice on your new purchase. I have been seeing quite a few 14s out west here and they are plain sexy as hell! I was pretty cool last Sunday when pulled aside a old guy...my age in a velocity yellow and black 14. We exchange thumbs up as we headed different directions on the 215 interchange in Henderson (Las Vega area).

The deal about being older and having some expendable cash is that you get to choose your poison and if you don't like it you can do something different. It's funny, if you are in your 20s or 30s you are a ricer, then when you hit your 40s and 50s you are middle age crazy! You got to love labels!!!
