I was on the Hyundai site today,
Not sure if i read it correctly. Is the 2 door coupe getting the 427 hp, V8 5.0 engine?

It seems possible, the V6 3.8L can make 348hp. But then why are they soo slow on the streets?

because heavy, and terrible gearing...oh and no the coupe is not getting the V8

Just like the G, cool car, too heavy for it's engine output. Even forced induction sometimes doesn't satisfy some owners for some reason. If they're gonna do V8, existing V8 cars will eat it alive but I cannot see it picking up in the market since it's already in the high $30k, with a V8, it might get close to $40k, and with that said I'd prefer to buy a nicer car at that point like a used E92 M3.

If it is I'm gonna test drive that baby!!!

so they now call the sedan a "2-doors coupe"..?? :confused:

Hyundai has said before that the 5.0 that's in the sedan, will not fit into the Genesis coupe. It would be fun to try though.

Anything can be fitted with modifications.

They are considering it for the upcoming redesign.

Same way Nissan calls the Maxima the "4DSC 4 door sports car"
