dont buy into the media BS.. they did this back in 2008 too

the car that ran the 7:08 was equipped with a track package what will be available later in the year in some markets... this is no different than porsche running thier 918 at the ring with its "weissach package"

the NISMO track package contains additional body parts like the fenders and the hood in carbon. this takes an additional 143 lbs off. it all comes with the wing on a higher setting as well as manually adjustable suspension

That article also claims a revised ecu map. If they turned up the boost, it could be a hell of a lot faster than the car you could buy. Just another ringer car to set that fast lap time.

It's not just Nissan. Every manufacturer seems to throw out a ringer car to set a fast lap. It's getting old. I'd be more impressed by them taking a bone stock car out for the lap time.

they are selling the exact car they ran at the ring( in some markets Im not sure the US is getting this option) so if the ECU mapping is different it will be included. I heard the changes did not affect HP but rather the responsiveness of engine
