Probably around 40k with a couple options.

There's not many options that are better in that range though (luxe compact). If you want an AWD luxury sedan Audi is the only game in town. BMW's X-drive has nothing on Quattro and in my experience recent offerings from both are about equivalent.

I wouldn't have considered anything from VAG a couple years ago and I'm fairly pleased with my current VAG ride, though I've only had it a couple months. I'll report back down the road!

yah, hope these new audi's are more reliable than the past. always wanted to try one, but never pulled the trigger.

You need to seriously relook how this is equipped etc, brakes, suspension, chassis, motor ALL WHEEL DRIVE. This couldnt be further from a Jetta and thats putting it MILDLY. Its more than an interior update.

I haven't looked at any specs for it, I just assumed. I was obviously wrong, but given my past experience with my dads A8 vs my friends dads Phaeton I figured they once again just slapped an Audi badge on the VW and did some minor upgrades.

like this dont help the situation for me considering audi's/vag's

Recalls are a bad way to judge reliability. If you read the article the recall is to replace DSG fluid because the synthetic they use is overheating when driven in crowded places like China.

I feel like a recall is the best indication that the car company is taking care of customers, especially when it's something so minor as a fluid swap. Note the recall of 10mm Toyotas not long ago.

Honestly, if it was a Jetta GLI with AWD, upgraded interior, and an Audi badge, I'd be willing to spend $40K no problem.

The detail thats gone into the car is amazing considering its the entry level S model Audi. My Audi dealer is going to get me a test in the spring if not earlier.

Image and stats sure. But the fact that Nissan issues a TSB instead of a recall for similar issues makes the stats misleading.

Toyotas 10mm car recall was similarly for trivial items.
