Final Build Thread for My Z33 - She's Done

I have owned my Z for the last 7+ years and have really learned so much from building it into what you see today. Not only have I made a bunch of friends I have also really enjoyed driving this car and look forward to keeping it for as long as I possibly can.

With that being said, I can now safely say that I have achieved everything I could have wanted for this car and can now say that my build is done.

My overall theme is more of a grand touring car which I an enjoy on the weekends but still be able to handle an occasional canyon run

Enjoy the pics and I will list the entire spec sheet at the end of the post

Starting out with what I always have thought was my favorite angle of my car, it shows off all of the modifications and highlight the rear end

Side profile shot showing my new NISMO V3 style front bumper with V2 canards. I was trying to get the flags to both be showing but gave up lol

http://2.bp.blogspot.com/-5yGYqNsr59...0/IMG_3558.JPG

The new front bumper is by far the longest bumper I have ever run but it is surprisingly not that low at all which helps for me

http://2.bp.blogspot.com/-IzUBM6V_aw...0/IMG_3561.JPG

Closeup of the front bumper with the canards placed in a similar location that my V2 bumper utilized, I also opted to run a front emblem to allow for definition

http://3.bp.blogspot.com/-DAIiiPxN9v...0/IMG_3562.JPG

My buddies at Mardikian Automotive also gave the car a nice polish so the paint looks really good even for a 9+ year old car

http://3.bp.blogspot.com/-fS-q4XBrzy...0/IMG_3563.JPG

The Potenza RE760's tires are more wide than they are tall so fender clearance is the best on any tire I have run

http://1.bp.blogspot.com/-yKP8MdrWz7...0/IMG_3567.JPG

5 years ago this month I bought my wheels and had them painted, I go out of my way for them to look like this and it tells you that hand washing really pays off

http://2.bp.blogspot.com/-6f-J9U79fI...0/IMG_3572.JPG

This has also been a favorite angle of mine, shows off my tucked rear bumper and GT-Spec rear tire bar

http://2.bp.blogspot.com/-_pKvwH8DfO...0/IMG_3574.JPG

I love this spoiler even though alot of others don't. You need to have a full exterior to pull it off IMO

http://1.bp.blogspot.com/-kNMELjKhmp...0/IMG_3592.JPG

You can see my black and silver theme throughout the car, including my emblems

http://3.bp.blogspot.com/-EmVu_mEPa9...0/IMG_3593.JPG

Still plenty of clearance with the rear wheels, mmm shiny!

http://3.bp.blogspot.com/-6R3Jwz7GhI...0/IMG_3573.JPG

You can definitely tell this is a much more daily-driver friendly setup, defintely wider than any other setup I have run too

http://3.bp.blogspot.com/-XqZhVk00lW...0/IMG_3564.JPG

I love this photo, sun was setting and it really shows off the Silverstone

That is one awesome looking Z you got there. I guess the question is, now what? After all those Mods, it's time to enjoy the fruit of your labor.

Enjoy her.

Thanks Genaro for the support

At this point since I hardly drive her I will end up keeping her for a really really long time ;)

Yep, that's my plan just sit back and keep her clean and drive her around for pleasure.

What happened to your V2 bumper? Honestly I liked that one better than your new one. But the car still looks great.

Thanks :)

The V2 was damaged beyond repair so I went with the V3 instead, I ran the V2 for about 3 years and although it looked really cool it hung very low which made driving around in my area difficult.

I have always wanted to run the V3 since the V2 is so popular in Socal anyway I wanted to do something different than everyone else

Congrats Waizzz, you know how much I love your Z :tiphat:. I like the V3 front, but I'll always remember your car with the V2. 20mm H&R spacers all around, huh? I'll keep that in mind in case I end up throwing the LMGT4s back on the 350Z.

You should post pictures of the modding stages your Z went through .

Thanks Angelo!

Yep 20mm all around, the fronts used to scrape periodically on the old tire setup but since I got new LCA bushings and switched to RE760's they never scrape.

Good idea on the progression, I will see what photos I can dig up ;)

It's been awhile since I have updated my thread, have a little progress to share..

Figured out why my Z kept stalling and I kept getting MAF errors. The baffle on my NISMO CAI failed and has been throwing debris up the intake probably for years. I don't drive my Z very often so I never really noticed it until I started taking the car out once a week during COVID.

http://www.the370z.com/attachments/o...2275cb257.jpeg

So I converted the CAI into a short ram but noticed the intake temps were spiking with this setup. Found a universal intake shield that fits large filters and also bought an OBD2 bluetooth attachment to monitor the temps and noticed the shield gave me temps barely above ambient so I was happy with this setup.

Coincidentally, my drivers side door handle also broke so I bought 2 new handles in satin black and also bought new hatch struts from Z1 to hold up my NISMO V1 wing. Car is running great now and all my issues have been fixed

I didn't realize the baffle could disintegrate like that. Your fix looks great, thanks for sharing!

I wish I would have cleaned the MAF regularly and I would have caught it sooner

That is such a beautiful car. I really like the black rims it reminds me of the Black Rhino wheels Everest model. The black grille looks great on this vehicle. This build is absolutely amazing and a success.
