Need advice

Need some advice...the R version of Nissan has over 500 hp and costs about 100 grand..the Ferrari spider has about the same....but costs about $270 grand,.,.so what is the difference? Why should I pay the difference...??

I cannot decide which to buy... I will explain this more in detail after I get a bunch of responses..

Thanks

Ok, when you start buying cars of this nature, here is my best advice to you. If you have to question the cost, you can't afford either.

Have you ever owned a Ferrari? Which spider? What is your purpose for the car? Is it going to be just a track ride or do you want to tour with it? Are you looking at this as an investment or are you gonna drive the dog **** out of it?

If you have $300k to buy a Ferrari and can maintain it, you're asking the wrong questions... A Ferrari is A FERRARI!!! That word is worth it's weight in gold. It carries prestige... Nissan... Um... They make $15000 cars... No prestige there...

And you're comparing a big heavy 4 seater car to a 2 seat Italian hypercar that's a convertible that has an engine that SCREAMS...

The GTR is better value in terms of speed and maybe handling, but again, the Ferrari says Ferrari

EDIT: you own a 370Z but you're in the market for a $300k car...? Did you win the lottery? Can I have $10k? I had an unexpected bill come up today...

In the words of inspector gadget: wowzers!

Look friend, DEpointfive0 nailed it. 1 car is a four seater - heavy as hell, and made for Nissan enthusiasts with some serious expendable income. The other is an Italian demon on wheels weighing the same as a mosquito. Super quick and incredible with handling.

If I had to give you an answer of course I'm saying Nissan FTW. more modding potential, plus if you get your wife knocked up, you can actually fit a baby's car seat.

The Ferrari is an exclusive, exotic supercar that will hold value if you baby it. It is rare, it attracts attention. It is fast as hell, probably fun to drive, and people will all think you have a c0ck the size of the Washington monument for owning one.

The Nissan is an enthusiast supercar, bargain priced for the performance numbers, an embodiment of strength in engineering. It is fast as hell, has "4" seats, and an idiot can drive it quickly around any track without really trying.

Both cars will be expensive to maintain.

if you have the money to buy both but are still undecided and refer to it as a nissan R then you have already made your mind up without knowing it....get the ferrari. The GTR isnt a car you just stumble on you either know what its about or not as its less a "car" and more a tool. the only thing that matters is end result everything about it is just designed for that one purpose... best lap times...check.... 0-60 in 2.7 sec....10 sec 1/4 mile ...check if you care about anything else its not the car for you

you ask whats the difference its better to ask whats the same and the answer is mostly nothing. ferrari is an exotic with feminine lines and an intoxicating exhaust note the GTR is purposely everything its not.. its designed after an anime robot sounds like a vacuum cleaner and will dust the ferrari in the hands on 99% of everyone with a valid drivers license

:icon18:Thanks for advice..See I have just bought a lottery ticket and I just wanted to make sure I made the right decision if I won...:icon18:

Seriously I was watching a video about Ferrari and I just wondered what the difference was between the two that justified such a huge difference in price...

Drove an F430 and it was definitely fun.

Of course I'd get a Ferrari over a GTR any day.

Looks better.

Sounds better.

It's Italian.

Hell, I'd even buy a fake Italian accent!

I had the opposite experience. I'd buy a lot of cars before a F430. I'd sell my soul for one of the new V12 ones, though.

Didn't say I'd buy one.

I had fun ripping on a Ferrari that wasn't mine.

My list of cars is so long... I really can't decide what would be first, I guess I'd have to buy them all after I buy a warehouse garage. :icon17:
