Am i the only one here that realizes these are the two companies with the highest recall counts in the world???????:roflpuke2:

Codename for the concept should be called "Total Recsll". :icon17:

Some of you guys have your preferences for whatever reason, but toyota's are maintenece reliable, but safety wise are ticking time-bombs. Then BMW has more crucial parts replaced than any other car company. Fuel pumps, injectors, transmission parts, electrical components etc etc...

Let's not get into that whole "unintended acceleration" Toyota debacle. That seemed to be more user error than company issue. They just recalled the cars to save face and get our government off their ***. I remember seeing a chart of the affected people's ages. If you were under 55 you were an outlier.

BMWs are just crap as far as reliability goes. They're the German Mitsubishi.

IDK about all you guys bashing Toyota. I have to turn VDC OFF in the Z so that the car doesn't cut throttle on me. A Toyota will keep the car at WOT without me having to even push the gas pedal :driving:

There were quite a few seperate recalls for three years straight.. Unintended accel was just one. Before that three year stretch, there were quite a few more. The 2million car reca.l was a sequel event, there were more mass recalls for toyota. Toyota has issues. I'm not bashing them. It's just true. 2.5 years without a car smashing into a wall isn't enough time for me to give them props. Sorry.

When i say Toyota's are the most boring cars to drive on the road. I'm not bashing either. It's a subjective opinion that most modern day enthusiasts will agree. (Not counting the overrated FR-S) Another subjective opinion.

I just personally don't like sports cars with less than 270hp

Sounds like the perfect performance car for guys like jungle Z. He should find a 2009 UNRECALLED Prius as his next perforamce car.
:rofl2::rofl2:

I won't bash the BRZ/FT86. They built a nice little USDM 240sx. It would be the best $20k car on the road. At $25-$27k, not so much. They're selling the hell out of them though, and it will get other car makers to bring back light RWD cars instead of bloated FWD pigs. For that reason, I'm a fan. Other than that, Toyota builds transportation appliances that are fairly reliable. Nowhere close to their 1980s and 1990s peak, though. Those cars were indestructible.

Yeah, the FR-S topping out @ $26,000 BRZ @$27,000 I would have had no criticisms and all praise. But $30,000 for an FRS and almost 32,000 for a BRZ. Starting prices $3,500 off. So is the Z, but we have power behind our cars. So more logical for nissan to try it than toyota.

:inoutroflpuke::inoutroflpuke::inoutroflpuke:

Completely laughable.

Truecar shows BRZs selling in the $27k range. Either that's way off, or people are getting raped on dealer markup.

Good morning guys , your favorite troll is in the place. Seriously though Toyota and Honda has been boring I'm not gonna lie that why i got into the z but lets not deny the difference in quality and resale value. My Nissan frontier wasn't even close to as quality as my boys tacoma. The tranny jerked around, the paint peeled off the roof, the seats rattled., full size truck gas mileage.

Nissan is the best bang for your buck, but lets not even get carried away that they are even a factor to superior companies.

I've owned 6 nissans and havent had any issues. I've owned over a dozen cars total and have had issues with some. It sounds like you dont take care of your cars if you are even telling the truth???

Toyota isn't anything to write home about. I'd buy 10 nissans before i'd buy one toyota. Honda has a marginally more upscale interior than nissan. Nissan has marginally more peformance than Honda... Everything else is about the same.

Superior cars??? Pay $15,000 to $25,000 more and you begin to enter the realm of superior cars... But from what perspective are you saying superior???
There's so many attributes that make cars good, excellent, outstanding... You're so blatantly general in everything you say and so unintelligent. STFU and read something, get some real seat time in some real cars.

Come back and contribute. If not??? :gtfo2:

I paid 37k with ttl and such for my Z. i have 11k left to pay. My Z is worth $31k in texas before TTL. I'm 20k in equity on a car i owe $11,000 on. Resale value??? I'm good. Nissan resale is exteemely high in texas. Nissan is off in resale from honda by like $350. Wow BIG sHYT.

AGAIN you know nothing.

Toyota's are great. How many Forum members would like to see jungle in an un-recalled 2009 prius?

Got my vote... :tup:

Yeah thats cuz broke people are buying BRZ's and cant afford to load them up. They are getting them with no options or auto transmissions.

I would love to take a survery/ poll on your average consumer. Would you buy 10 Hondas,10 toyotas or 10 nissans in your lifetime. What would the results be?
