It's not the car, it's the type of drivers that drive them. Just so happens there are a lot of younger males ages 16-25 driving the FRS/BRZ. For most of them it's their first rwd "sports" car. It gives them confidence, they want to hang with the "big" boys now and they often feel they need to prove they can.
For example, i was driving the Z last weekend and was going in the right turn lane. There was newer Camaro, with a modified exhaust in the lane going straight waiting for traffic in front of him to move. As I drove past him and made my right turn, I saw him jump out of his lane into the turn late, proceed to floor it to catch up to me. When he got even with me he slowed down, down shifted, rev, slowed, rev, and sped off... :ugh2: and at the next light I got to see the driver.... probably 17-19 years old. He went out of his way (changing the road he was planning to drive on) to come do a flyby downshift on me.:shakes head: |
I like the wheels better than the ones that I had on my 09 base.

Also bear in mind it's spring and most people get a little frisky the first couple times they take their toys out of the garage. I know I do.

And my opinions aren't based on affordability. Give me till the end of the year and i could buy 2 right off the bat. It's just that's where i see these cars from a value standpoint. |

oh and i couldnt agree more on the price, this car definitely isnt worth 24k especially when the genesis coupe 2.0t is the same price and makes more hp honestly i wouldnt be so critical about the FRS if it had more HP, i got to test drive one at a sion dealer(scared the sales guy while going on the test drive as well) and even though its a fun car on twisties, i wouldnt be able to live with the overall power in day to day driving, hard to merge on the highway, hard to pass people up |

You guys should have read a thread on a local forum that I was commenting in. Two FR-S's with wheels and suspension I commented on how I liked one and not the other and then before I knew it, it turned into an argument. Then they started making idiotic statements saying that their FR-S with Suspension and exhaust would beat my 370Z around a track, I had enough and went off on how they where just fanboys on that site. Not saying all of them are dumb but they are in the same bracket as the young kids with fart can exhaust on a civic in my book.
