Probably those 4 rims and tires cost $15,000!

His rate didn't go up! He has all state! :icon17:

I seriously think that Ferrari, Lamborghini, etc should host or provide (Free of charge) at least 3 HPDE sessions before (or after) one can take delivery of their exotic. A must!

Throw in the seats and steering wheel and it would pay for a new Nismo. lol :icon17:

So it would provide an opportunity for them all to crash their cars at one place away from the general public :bowrofl: :bowrofl: :bowrofl:

Look at this piece of pop art.

Ferrari Crash 458 Italia VS Ford F150 - YouTube

And America (MSNBC) was so heartbroken over a Ferrari... Priorities, priorities... lol

I know it's not the 458, but your video led me to it and it's far more spectacular photos of crashed (and beyond totaled) Enzo's:

Good news is, is that I'm going to be getting to drive an F430 in a few weeks at full throttle after a small class prior! :ughdance:

May the luck of the Ferrari not strike me down...

going off topic for just a second. "Sweet Dreams" by Eurythmics had to be on the Top 10 of greatest songs from the 80's. It's timeless.

Yeah that's a screwed to shyt enzo @ 1:45... damn.

I drove an F430 last summer. You'll definitely leave with a stupid grin on your face. One of the sexiest engine noise you'll ever hear.

I chose a Gallardo over the F430 to drive last summer. Both were great choices, but that Lamborghini V10 was just :yum:

Those are my choices: F430 or Gallardo. My thinking is the Lambo is going to be a handful, but I don't know.

I have a few weeks to decide 100%.

They would only let me go up to 6k rpm (redline was 8k) so I wasn't really able to push it much. Was a small track too, but still a fun experience.

Well that's going to be a bummer if they have the same limitations at this one I'm going to.

Could have swore I read they'd let you open it up all the way...

It's probably different for every organization that does it. Of course I didn't find this out till right before I drove it. They were all automatics too :(

Cmike2780 03-12-2013 11:50 AM

Your could always rent one for a day, lol. The one I went to didn't have a rev limit (I mean technically I guess it did), but there was a limiter on top speed. I couldn't go faster than 80mph. Not that big of a deal since the track was kind of small to begin with. They also wouldn't let me shift it out of "Auto", but I could gun it down the straightaway as much as I wanted. The laps went by pretty quick. The guy running the event did let me run a couple more laps than I paid for, so it was all good.

Also, I think Lambo & Ferrari all come with Single/Dual-Clutch type gearboxes now. I think Lambo dropped the manual trans a couple of years ago. The only true manual trans in the Ferrari stable is in the California. The F430 still had it, but few people actually bought it because it was slower.

Just found this one on Yahoo:

Twin-turbo, 700-hp Ferrari 458 crashed into swamp after top-speed run | Motoramic - Yahoo! Autos

mick 03-12-2013 02:03 PM

talking about car crashes, I sold my 370z nismo because it was number 4 for 2010.
I heard that #4 sounds like death in Chinese, Japanese :-O
I figured it's better to be supertitious and wrong then not supertitious and wrong :-)

I sure hope the present owner is doing okay :-)
