I'm easing into it. The torque difference is quite noticeable! I used to slide the tail out on my Z at certain corners in town, but I'll need to warm up to that with this little fella

Thats a good idea. I was handed the two plates with the holes in the middle by the dealer, so im not sure if there are plates in right now. the only thing that the previous owner did (I got to talk to the guy too, when does that ever happen?) was install a Sprint Booster, so it boosts the electric signal from the accelerator to sharpen throttle response. doubt i'll use it much, but we'll see

i wouldnt bother with the sprint booster, just make sure your track key is program.

track mode does that.

As much as I like the Boss and the Cobra Mustangs, I just couldn't bring my self to buy a Ford. To many ppl I have known have had to many problems with them.

To me Ford quality is up there with a YUGO ! Its the FOUND ON ROAD DEAD syndrom.

The other thing with comparing the current mustang body style to the 370z style, you take away the fords fancy paint colors and graphics and the car is really rather plain and dull.

Now take any 370Z in a solid color and it really doesn't need a lot of graphics and neon colors to look beautifull.

To each their own. I am that way about older Ford stuff... even about 4-5 years ago was crap. But you should check out Ford these days. Its nice stuff. It was enough to sway my opinion.

If you keep it as a seasonal car for 4-5 yrs you should be ok ! But I wouldn't trust any Ford product for long term or high mileage.

My brother has owned Fords for about the last 10 yrs. and has had nothing but troulble with them and this has been as late as 2010 models. He finally make the switch back to chevy and nissan and has a lot better success with them.

The thing that is really bad is that most of the Fords that gave him issues were highway driven and he put on almost 75k miles a year and changed his oil and did maintanance on the car every 3000 miles.

In comparison he had a Ford Ranger pick up that only had about 90 psi of compression after 150k miles, compared to a nissan frontier that he dove to 275K miles and it still had 155 psi of compression when he gave the truck away.

I recently seen an episode TRUCK U where they went into depth on many of the problems with Ford diesel turbos, really scarry when you think of all the problems they have.

congrats on the mustang!

Let's try to keep this from turning into yet another Mustang vs Z thread. :wtf2:

Sorry to see your Z go OP, but congrats on the new ride. :tiphat:
